330 ml bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The aroma is very nice, it smells like roasted malt, dark fruit, port, chocolate, and some coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's addition of some cream, burnt/charred malt and a bit of anise. Good mix of sweet, fruity and roasty flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, I'd pick this one up again and it's definitely worth trying.

Has kab No.42 on the label lot 4836020211
A - Pours a real nice dark deep ebony colour with a nice tanned head that retains well and laces.
S - Not too much other that some oatmeal and booze
M - Has a very thick oily body with medium to low carbonation
T - Some very smooth caramel flavours with nicely balanced sugar booze flavours. A very smooth and balanced brew that just leaves you wanting more. The port ageing has some real effect here.
O - Well given the age of this brew it really has stood the test of time and I believe gotten better as a result. It has matured into a very well balanced brew that has retained its original carbonation and body which is key to beers like these if you are ageing them.

Been saving this special beer for a special time... just finished my school work for the class and to complete my Masters Degree.
Pours a large fizzy mocha colored 1 finger head that fades slowly, a little lacing, decent legs
Nose brings lots of aged dark malts and a bit of yeasty note, but surprisingly I also get port, a fruity port wine, a bit of roasty malts and a little cocoa, little caramel, little coffee roasted, little baker's chocolate, some vanilla too
Taste starts quite sweet, candy syrup, caramel, straight up sugar, some mild roasted malts and roasted coffee, a hint of vanilla and baking spices, some sweet and fruity port wine, a bit of warming alcohol later, bit fudgey and some baker's chocolate cocoa, finishes sticky sweet, syrupy, some hot booze, sweet port and chocolate
Mouth is med to fuller bod, sweet syrupy and a little fizzy carbonation, some hot booze
Overall not bad, surprised there is still port, but too sweet and not quite what I was expecting for the two potential beers combined in this one, Kate and Black Albert.

Bottle share. Big rich Imperial Stout, with a Belgian flare. Rich stout with a yeasty (Belgian) overtone. Not too boozy, silky body, huge roast grain flavor , hints of chocolate and burnt toast.
