Pours out a honey brown. Half a finger of head that dissipates quickly to a ring.
Smell is booze jumping out of the glass. Bourbon, brown sugar, prune, date, honey. The bourbon and the sugar really take over here though.
Taste is sweet bourbon right up front. Strong spicy malt presence. Some bitterness on the close. The booze is strong with this one. Close to being overwhelming. But it smooths out. A lot of the flavor matches that of the nose.
The carbonation is mild. But this beer has a nice density to it. Almost a sticky syrup quality.
This beer cost a hefty 44 dollars just like the Black Damnation I purchased from this brewery. The Black Damnation was perhaps one of the best beer I ever tasted. This one falls behind but still is the same price. Overall I enjoy this brewery's offerings, but this is one is certainly not worth the outlandish price. I would love to go to Belgium and try everything firsthand rather than spend ridiculous amounts of money to have the beer travel across the world.

Look: Dark chocolate brown, almost opaque. Two fingers of brown head that quickly dissipates.
Smell: Chocolate, figs, plums, stone fruits. Very reminiscent of port wine.
Taste: Like the taste, similar to port. Fruity, deep, and sweet but not cloying.
Mouthfeel: Rather thin body with very little carbonation.
Overall: While it makes a few stumbles, this is one of the greatest-tasting beers I've ever had.

This should be designated as a rotating offering from De Struise.
750 ml. bottle.
Bottled 27 JUN 2018.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch off white head over a dark mahogany body with no lacing with the head disappearing after a couple minutes. Nose of booze, dried cherries, raisins, caramel, nougat, and cocoa. Taste of chocolate, caramel, molasses, raisin, dried cherry, prune, red grape, white grape, and bourbon. Finish is slightly tannic with bitter chocolate. Wow! Yet another superbly complex beer from one of my favorite Belgian breweries. Cheers to Urbs!!!!!

Tap @ Moor, Bristol - Pours dark brown with a medium tanned foamy head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - rich caramel, dark fruits. Taste - dark fruits, toffee, caramel notes, light yeasty notes at the back, dry bitter finish with some alcoholic warmth. Lovely strong Belgian ale.

Picked this up at a bottle shop in Brussels for E 3.95. Time to give this 2013 quad a go. Bottle has a lot code of 100506142013 and a BB date of May 30 2019. Poured into a Samuel Smith pint glass this beer has a towering tan fluffy head with plenty of staying power and laces the glass beautiful. on top of a lively ruddy brown with carbonation bubbles popping from the yeast sediment. Aromas of sweet molasses, grapes. Estery but not phenolic with the slightest hint of soft alcohols. Taste is quite sweet and malty but not cloying. Dry but definitely sweet in the finish. Not massively complex but tasty and smooth. Alcohol very well hidden. Mouthfeel is smooth with high carbonation but doesn't have a carbonic acid bite. Overall a bit sweet without any spiciness but drinks easy.
