500 ml bottle, vintage 2010, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Dark brown colour, enormous off-white head, takes a long time to subside. Strong aroma of red wine vinegar and oak, notes of farmhouse. Medium sour flavour, notes of red wine vinegar, red wine, lemons and oak.

Explosive gusher. Dark mahoghany brown with some suspended floaties, ample tan foam. Mildly bready and acidic aroma. Malty, tart, vinous taste. Enjoyed it. Thanks Joe!

Leathery brown with steady custard yellow head. 4
Wood, whisky, candy sugar, dark cherry, dried cranberry, and overripe banana on the nose. 4.25
More bananas, licorice, molasses, condensed quality Balsamic, dried apple, more dark candy sugar, and a thread of vanilla. 4.25
Wood + banana finish and tart aspiriny linger.
Medium, round, creamy. 4
Gusher! Deep - far more than the sourness going on. Several types of fruit - it fits that plus vanilla and candy sugar, but still stays balanced. The only thing missing is traces of the Wild Turkey, but maybe that’s no bad thing. Far exceeded expectations. 4.5
“Nice beer, despite its unruly behaviour.” - Carter.

my jaw drops at all of these negative review.
i've talked to a few people and we agree that this is the most underrated Struise beer made.
it's divine.
everything about it. divine.
perfect barrel.
perfect flavour. a bit on the sweet side of a flanders red but i don't care.
i can go on and on and on but this beer is killer.
i'm in belgium. i've had 3 so far. will drink more before i leave.

A very unpleasant combination of flavors, including metal and sour. Ugh.
