Rich amber malty beer.

Living up to its name, this is a colorful orange in the glass, like the aspens that go for the darker fall color than the usual gold. makes a nice splash and good mouthful of foamy richness. More like an American Amber Ale than a Marzen, with more bitterness. OK, it's supposed to be malty, but it also seems kind of over-hopped. The malt is a little raw and grainy, and the bitterness does linger.

Would not win any awards for subtlety, like the best of the German Marzen beers, but quite drinkable. I'd try it on tap next fall.

Small to medium off white head settles into a nice lacing above a clear copper amber colored beer with pretty decent carbonation.

Sweet bready malts with a bit of light sour hops sneaking in there.

Light dark caramels to bready malts taste with just a bit of the hops adding a slight bitter to sourness that is indeed quite light.

A light dry caramel aftertaste on this smooth medium bodied beer.

A pretty decent taste but a little on the lighter side, but still worth trying.

Pours amber with 3 fingers of cream colored head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Bready with slight metallic hops smell

T: Bready with leafy hops & a touch of grainyness up front. Dryness, caramel & a slight nuttyness as this warms. Finishes with leafy hops, breadyness &a touch of toffee, almost pulled a 4.5

MF: Medium bodied, light carbonation & great balance

Super drinkability, a nice Marzen, this was good on tap as well
