Poured moderately hard from a can into a snifter glass, forming a finger or two of frothy tan head that quickly faded to some lacing. Brownish amber body, just slightly hazy. Shell is strange, must be from the coffee and spices, but it's almost soap-like. Taste has some pumpkin in the background, some coffee and spices, but the smell (soap-like) comes in at the end of the pallet and makes it strange. Gets worse as it warms. Light bodied. Not much like the name and not a fan.

a little better than a light beer, but not much. The name, pumpkin spice latte gave me a visual of, well, a latte. A tan color, maybe cloudy. That's not what it looks like, and it tastes more of what it looks like than what the name suggests. Maybe atwater will take a swing at a PumpkinVJP next year. I can hope.

Pours a muddy brown color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma is sweet. Tastes of pumpkin and pumpkin spices. Slightly sweet. Coffee flavor is subtle. Mouth feel is thin.

I'm giving this rating to warn anyone who is affected by the smell or taste of cleaners such as those with allergies or asthma. It looks and smells like it may be an average pumpkin beer. Honestly though,,,,This tastes like soap (or some other random cleaning agent) mixed with pumpkin spice. I literally cannot get the taste out of my mouth. I thought it might have been a bad bottle or something until reading the other reviews. I hope nobody else has to experience this.

12 oz.
Pours a slightly hazy amber orange, coarse yellowish white head is pillowy and dissipates to a lacing.
Smells of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, graham cracker and vanilla.
Flavor is of cracker malts, graham cracker, pumpkin pie, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of coffee.
Medium to full body with a stinging carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
Solid pumpkin ale one the pie side of pumpkin. Flavor is bright and the body is good. Goes down easily enough. Good representation of the style, probably better than about half the pumpkin beers out there at least.

What am I drinking right now?! Pours a very dark orange.. Confused why there is no head.. Just some bubbling. Smell... My hype factor from reading the words pumpkin, coffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg is diminishing veryyyy quickly. None of those are coming through with the smell, except a small amount of cinammon. Taste. Again... What?! What am I drinking? I'm usually a pretty generous rater and reviewer but my god. This is a godawful beer. My hype factor has gone into the negatives and I'm frowning. In no way do I taste pumpkin... Coffee... Nutmeg... Even the cinammon from the nose is just gone. I do however taste a mash of how cleaning supplies smell... And as another reviewer stated hand soap. The feel is watery... Thank god this beer is as thin As water so I can chug this down and move to something else. Overall if you're looking at buying this beer do not do it. There is no hint of anything promised... Now to figure out what to do with the other five of these haha

New Beer Sunday (Week 603) has seen me doing my best on the #2016PumpkinChallenge and now we come to my favorite hit-or-miss brewery. I always want to like these guys, but it seems to be a 50-50 proposition more often than not.
From the bottle: "Ale with pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and coffee".
After Pop!ping the cap, I let fly with a heavy-handed pour into a nice, new Spieglau glass. I watched as it swirled, foamed, puffed up & finally became two-plus fingers of puffy, fluffy, light-tan head that suddenly gassed out and fell like a soufflé when the oven door is banged shut. Color was Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity. I am sorry, but the nose put me in mind of a candle! One of the things that I really dug about The ex-Old Lady was that she is a fellow asthmatic and HATED scented candles (as do I). Man, this smacked of artificiality. I am reading a dystopian novel entitled "The Nervous System", in which the unreliable narrator protagonist describes the pinkish-purple air as having a smell like burning plastic. This had a plastic-like sharpness, albeit not burning. Gah. Mouthfeel was thin and watery. Oof. The taste was okay. I got the coffee and the nutmeg, which could have easily been lost in the cinnamon, as well as a vanilla sweetness that again made me realize how far off of the mark Penn Brewery's Pumpkin Roll Ale actually is. This was decent, but I was still getting a plastic-like artificiality, especially on the finish, lingering when I wish that it would not. Finish was semi-dry, but I could not shake that taste. I suddenly flashed on one of those frozen Pumpkin Custard pies from the likes of Sara Lee & Marie Callendar. Ugh. Who freezes a pie?!? Not this one-time pastry chef! Man, I loved taking HomeEc (Foods) in high school. I was contemplating going to the Culinary Institute of America until I joined the Navy & when I inquired about becoming a cook, my recruiter talked me out of it (& rightly so). Mass production is NOT cooking, just like this was NOT good.

I agree with everyone this is a pretty nice pumpkin and coffee mash up but it needs more body to make it great. Only the finish houses what the beer could be and I swear it's reminiscent of a pumpkin spiced latte.
