It is delicious! Sooo refreshing...not to fruity or hoppy. Nice balance.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled in 2/2015. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of honey, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pear/apricot, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark/bready malts and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big honey, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, light pear/apricot, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly clean on lager flavors with not too much yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very good maibock. All around good robustness and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Appearance - 4.25/5
Moderate orange-gold, very clear, an average amount of carbonation can be seen rising. Several fingers of slighty off-white head upon initial pour, dissipates down to about a finger. Looks like a great classic German beer.

Smell - 4/5
Delicious medium-dark malt smell with some banana aspects, as well as other fruit.

Taste - 4/5
Tastes basically like it smells, though there is a small metallic aspect to the taste. This is a very flavorful beer. It's not super complex, but has a consistent malty-fruity taste which I like it a lot.

Mouthfeel - 4/5
Medium full-bodied. Very smooth. Carbonation is very light.

Overall - 4/5
This was an excellent beer. One of the few Atwater beers I like and would recommend.
