I was looking forward to this one as i'd yet to try it. it came to me in a glass and the foam had been poured off. this isn't the fault of the brewer so maby it had great head. the main problem with this beer was infection. I'm sure it was an infection because when i sniffed it i thought for a second maybe i was at the movies about to dig into a 12 dollar medium popcorn. it had a very noticeable diacetyl aroma and taste. past the buttery flavor i could taste blueberry almost which i'm sure wasn't intended either. it'd be interesting to taste one from a different batch.

12 oz with no date, from a mix and match sixpack at Trader Joe's. Aside: did you know you can break up any sixpacks you want at Trader Joe's, cans, bottles, 4-packs, whatever, and they'll ring up each bottle at 1/6 the cost of the sixpack? Makes for pretty cheap singles selection.

Anyway, drinking more Michigan beer, I got this.

The appearance is a big warning sign ... head rose fast and died faster and was all large bubbles, like a soda. Huge bubbles are rising furiously, also soda-like. I hear fizzing. Ghostly pale yellow color, just slightly opaque, looks kinda like gray water. There's a "dirty blonde" woman on the bottle... she has the Tigers logo tattooed on her lower back, ugh. Hope she looks better than this beer.

Smell is sour wheat, corn, more funky than lemony. A little caramelized sugar.

I thought I smelled corn... is this beer really adjunct based? Did not see that one coming. Tastes like lemonade + adjuncts. Sour up front, heck sour the whole way through with a grainy finish. No hops whatsoever. Extremely watery.

Low carbonation, super lightweight mouthfeel. Finish is lingering unpleasant sourness.

Misses the style badly, not impressive when held to any standard much less your average APWA. About what I'd expect from Bud Light with Lemon. Glad I only bought one.

Poured into a pint glass.

A new beer at Trader Joe's, I was warned that this wasn't the best beer we have over there. Boy, that was an understatement. Off smells and flavors are abound in this brew. Rather than there being a pronounced orange peel and coriander flavor, I taste hay and corn - not a good sign. The mouthfeel is almost water like with a touch of carbonation saving it just a little. The pale golden color and the nice sturdy head is really this beer's saving grace. Oh, and the cartoon lady on the label has a Detroit tramp stamp - that's awesome. Not recommended (except for the bottle).

pours a cloudy yellow with a two finger white head that looks good for a minute or two then quickly fades. very faint aroma of citrus and coriander. sharp taste of citrus more lemon than orange with a slightly pepper finish. mouthfeel was watery no body to it. lacking in many ways.

Not much going for this brew. Extremely watered down, unbalanced, and low on flavor. I would rather drink a Pabst or Schlitz.

Pours with a slight yeasty haze. Light-golden color. The initial off-white head of about 1/2 inch dissipates almost immediately. Carbonation is light. The malt is very light with hints of straw. Some petillance on the initial palate, followed by a light center and finish. The finish is rather short. The body is very light. Lace does not form. The orange peel and coriander is not evident. Some ale and wheat characteristics in the nose, albeit very faint. Somewhat sweet and slick The alcohol is not noticeable. Refreshing but exciting.

I must "down-rate" this beer because it is labeled as a Belgian white, but comes across more like a nut-brown. Very sweet, caramel, roasted malt and nut flavor. I was convinced there was a bottling-line mix-up, but it has the hazy appearance of a wit, although a bit more golden-hued than straw-colored. I struggle to find the orange and coriander amidst the cloying sugariness and roasted grain flavors in this brew. If this were a nut-brown, I'd probably give it good marks.

This is a cloud pale gold with a small head that quickly fades to film. The aroma is unpleasant... very vegetal. Ugh, flavor follows the smell, except also doughy, limpid, disgusting. Glad I only bought one of these. Probably the worst beer I've had in at least a couple years.

DATE: July 15, 2017... OCCASION: playing a family-wide game of Monopoly... GLASSWARE: Ommegang Rare Vos shaker... appears a slightly hazy, light straw colored body... small, lazy bubbles formulate an off-white head that taps out quickly... light bill of lemon, wheat, and pear--slightly astringent and not offering much in the way of the promised orange peel or coriander... light,, watery, a bit oily...like a white wine spritzer without the refreshing payoff.... more like a flat cream soda... cider-like apple brisk pepper, light wheat, soft orange peel, and cracker malts keep some of the low-end appeal... this is one that tastes as I remembered it did the last time--advertising as a summer beer, but like the label's suggestive lady, more trouble than it's worth, and not nearly as refreshing... sad when the remainder of a six-pack presents itself as a burden...

Cold 12 oz bottle poured into 20oz pint glass. Beer pours like soda, with giant bubbles, forming no head. Beer is very pale and slightly clouded.

First sip is refreshing...like water. Bland, bland, bland. fizzy, then nothing. There's a slight citrus/spice/irrelevant note. A bad beer.

Just cannot handle the sweet, nauseating (coriander and orange) flavor profile of this beer. Not as bad as Blue Moon, but close. I guess I am just not a fan of this particular iteration of a wheat ale.
