Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/2 inch head of an off-tan color. Good retention and great lacing. Smells of strong chocolate, strong vanilla, strong sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, hint of alcohol, and syrup. Fits the style of an American Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of strong chocolate, strong vanilla, strong sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, hint of alcohol, hint of nutmeg, and strong syrup. Overall, good complexity, body, appearance, aroma, and feel, but the body finishes weak in comparison.

Pours the sure color of dark chocolate bar with 1 finger of mocha head.

Aroma is of dead on hershey's special dark syrup. Fresh cocoa powder and lactose sugars as well.

Flavor is like the aroma but more 2D. Flavors of dry dark cocoa powder, coffee bean, sweet dark chocolate; light tea, some roast barley. Basically a dark Dove chocolate bar dusted in dry cocoa and a sip of tea. As it warms it's pure unsweetened cocoa powder.

Feel is heavily carbonated, with a medium-watery body, slight slight roast on the finish.

Overall, this is a great dessert beer. You really get that dark chocolate as promised on the label. Very nice.

I had high hopes for this beer. Sounded good, and I liked the idea of a chocolate beer, so I thought I'd give it a try. Whoops.

First, when I poured it there was almost no head. Color was good but that was about it. A nice dark brown stout.

Aroma was pretty much Hershey's chocolate syrup, which I do NOT like. There was a light roasted malt background, but the sweet chocolate overpowered everything.

Taste was like a weak chocolate soda with a coffee aftertaste. Nothing stood out past the sweet chocolate.

Mouthfeel was thin, watery, and barely carbonated. Just nasty.

Overall I think the word I am thinking of is horrid. This was a drain pour.
