Look:
On the lower end of carbonation. Pours a crystal clear copper color. The head quickly diminishes and leaves some decent lacing for a bit (but seems to stop prematurely).

Smell:
Smells of tart cherries and other various fruits. There is a slight hint of malt.

Taste:
I was instantly greeted with sour cherry flavors (as expected). There seems to be no apparent hop bitterness or flavors to speak of. After the tartness subsides, some caramel notes are apparent. Flavors seem to fade with no real aftertaste. This beer finishes quite dry. Very similar to a cherry wine (once again, as expected).

Feel:
Has a medium mouthfeel. Only slight sensation of bubbles. This one feels quite a bit on the dry side.

Overall:
I didn't know what to expect with this cherry wheat as I have only had 1 cherry wheat in the past (Samuel Adams) and did not care for it. This one, I felt, was more drinkable than the S.A., but still not my favorite style of beer. Great for the style of beer but probably will not try again... just my personal preference.

Atwater Brewery "Traverse City Cherry Wheat"
12 oz. brown glass bottle, notched "BOTTLED ON: May 2015"

Delicately cherry-ish. You don't get it so much in the nose, but it's clear in the flavor. I appreciate that it's not overdone like so many beers theses days. I would guess that if you didn't know it was a cherry beer you might find it fruity, and perhaps pick up the cherry, but not immediately come to the conclusion that it's a cherry beer. A moderate bitterness balances it, and it finishes dry with a residual note of cherry. Oddly for a fruit beer, some leafy, grassy, and herbal hops are present as well. Pleasant and quite charming!

12 oz bottle. Fairly sweet, the cherry flavor is fairly natural tasting. It's more in the smell than the taste. thinner body, high carbonation. not bad, but wouldn't seek out again

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled in 4/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of light sweet/tart cherry, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with solid balance of cherry, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with very weak strength. Taste of light sweet/tart cherry, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance and solid robustness of cherry, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/acidic mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a decent fruited wheat beer style. All around good balance and solid robustness of cherry, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.

Clear amber with a moderate cap of foam.
Aroma-Wheat, faint cherry note
Taste-Subtle cherry tartness, light-bodied and refreshing, but generally lacking any depth of character.

This is a pretty standard cherry wheat. Nice cherry flavor with some tartness. Serviceable

A nice, smooth, and easy drinking summer brew. It looks great, a pale reddish orange with a thin foamy top. It is pretty clear with a very light carbonation. It smells like a mild fruit juice, it barely smells like a beer at all. It tastes like a mix between a mild wheat beer and slightly tart cherry juice. Overall, it is a nice blend of flavors.

Light carbonated feel. Has a SWEET cherry taste that is more unexpected and different, yes. I know it it a cherry beer but I thought it would have a sweet and tart taste similar to cherry coke???

Just not my style. It may be good for the type of beer that it is, but to me it just doesn't taste good.
