this was absolutely outstanding last nite. 2 pints and i hope its still on today, stop after work for another on my way out tonite. my favorite fruit and they have captured the essence of blueberry pie in a glass. spot on pour looks almost blue. huge blueberry aroma and taste, very rich, thick, creamy mouthfeel. the first sip captures a chocolate taste that somehow gives the effect of blueberry pie crust. this is a really superb effort for a brewery without a highly rated beer, very interesting and very delicious.

On tap in Atlanta.
Generous blueberry, dark malt and vanilla. Lightly sweet. Very smooth, medium-full body.

Overall: somewhat like is namesake, but less fruity and less sweet.

Pours bluish-brown with a thin head that instantaneously recedes and doesn't leave lacing. Aroma is a fake, chemically blueberry. Aroma is very strong and has a decent range. Taste is slightly tart blueberries with a grainy wheat undertone. The blueberry is a little syrupy and sticks to the tongue. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation that left a fake fruit aftertaste. The aftertaste sticks around for a little bit. Could be a dessert beer for someone who likes concentrated blueberry.
The odd color and aroma didn't prepare me for the syrupy texture that stuck to the tongue. It's a dessert beer done heavy handedly. I'm guessing the blueberry flavor comes from a blueberry slurry. The feel of it is too sticky for me to want a second one.

On tap at World of Beer Raleigh

A - dark brown with a thin, off white head that has little retention

S - pie crust and blueberries

T - blueberry, grains, faint chocolate, mildly bitter

M - medium bodied, smooth, crisp

This is a nice little fruit beer. The blueberries were great. They weren't bitter or tart and the beer had great balance. The chocolate notes were different and welcomed. It lost points for the grainy notes. I give this beer points for uniqueness. It was perfect but it was nice to try.

Poured from the tap into a tulip glass at Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a brown color with blue highlights with a small white head. The aroma is full of artificial blueberry. The taste is mild tart blueberries with some wheat in the background.

Big thanks goes out my brother from another mother, beermeX2 for this one! Served from growler into a Duck-Rabbit nonic. Poured a deep red brown with a minimal off-white head. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, blueberry, sugar, wheat, blueberry muffins, and butter. The flavor was of sweet malt, blueberry, syrup, wood, earth, wheat, subtle sugar, and subtle bread. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. I really liked the fact that this one smelled like blueberry muffins. I haven't had them made fresh since I was a child, so this took me back. Other than that, there really wasn't much else going on to speak of. The flavor was a lit earthy and wheaty than the aroma would let off. Still not bad though. Really glad I got the chance to try this one.

This drinks with significant blueberry flavor though at times it comes off syrupy and too sweet. A natural blueberry flavor comes through with some blackberry, maple, and malt.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This interesting brew pours a dark brown cola color with a nice light tan head of dissipating foam that settles to a thick ring, pooling layer, and very nice lacing. Nose of strong blueberries and some sweet sugared toast...somewhat one dimensional. Flavor exceed the nose with blueberries prominent to the fore and middle that mingle and fade to a bread crust and roasted malt flavor that is pleasant. Alcohol is well hidden till it warms with a slick and mildly tart feel and aftertaste with some medium carbonation that keeps it lively but finishing a touch watery. Interesting, almost a porter without a more roasted backdrop.
I find myself liking this more with warmth. A fan of this brewery, and would purchase this again for a nice finisher to an evening.
