I've been to O'Caseys a few times. and have had a few different experiences. In September of '06 we had a large group come here on a friday night for a friend's bachelor party. We were seated outside on the nice patio and had a great time. Service was incredible as not only did the manager come out to greet us, the head chef grilled all 12 or so of us hamburgers for free! There was a budweiser rep there, who kept bringing us buckets of Bud for free(price was right :) ) as well, do to the bachelor party.

Been there a few times since, and the service while not terrible, hasn't been nearly as good. They do have a nice selection, love the Mad Hatter on tap like Andrew, but their prices are a little expensive. Definetely not the place to grab a cheap pint or two.

But all in all, our group of beer drinking friends like to hit this place up when downtown, if only for a pint, they have taking care of us, so we like to return the favor.

Visited here on a pub crawl. We were only getting drinks, so we tried to order at the bar and then go sit at a table. Instead, they refused to serve us at the bar (since we weren't going to be sitting at the bar stools) and made us get a waiter. Not a big deal, but then we had to wait for the waiter to deal with other tables, when we could have just ordered at the bar.
Selection was ok, nothing special. Some nicer macros that you would expect at a faux-irish bar (Bass, Harp, etc), and a Bells or two. Prices were high... I think it was $6 for a Bass on tap, and $8 for an Irish car bomb.
Atmosphere is ok, but it's in the lobby of a hotel so that detracts a little. I'd say skip this place if you're in town, and head to Fiddler's Hearth or the Mishawaka Brew pub.

I've added this South Bend establishment for two reasons. First, because it does boast a fairly decent craft brew tap and bottle lineup (meaning things like Bell's, Sammy Smith, New Holland, etc.) and secondly as a warning to BA's not to go here because it is probably the worst place to actually go to drink craft beer in South Bend. We stopped in here the other day after visiting Fiddler's Hearth for a pint or two because its a new pub and i had heard from a yuppie friend of mine that it was a nice place.

First thing i noticed was that, yes, it did have some nice things on tap. In fact, there were two Bell's taps and one had a picture of a cherry on it (no description). Now, my wife's favorite beer from Bell's is their old Cherry Ale that i haven't seen in a long time and so i asked the bartender if that tap was the cherry ale. "why, yes it is of course" he told me, and so i ordered her a pint, along with a Mad Hatter from New Holland for me. So he brings the pints over and one is obviously Mad Hatter and the other is a stout. I told the guy that actually i wanted the cherry ale, sir, please and he responded that i already had it right there in the glass filled with cherry stout. Well, my wife isn't going to drink a stout so i asked for something else (since he had told me it was a different beer) and he told me no dice, i had to buy what he had poured. He then suggested that i mix it half and half with Guinness because thats what the cherry stout is there for. No thanks, i said and paid for my drinks ($15!). My friend bought a bottle of sam smith's oatmeal stout for $10! Outrageous prices. Everyone else in there was drinking flavored martinis or margharitas. terrible. we stayed for 10 minutes and fled.

I guess that's what you get when you go to a place attached to a Marriot hotel. I will not go here again. ever. And i warn everyone else to avoid it as well...if you're staying downtown, go to Fiddler's or even Buffalo Wild Wings...both have much better beer, prices and atmosphere.
