Hand-pulled half-pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 24th Jan 2014.

Deep, dark brown with rudy hints, the head a creamy blanket of tanned foam.

Sweet malty molasses in the nose and taste, this is almost a throwback to an old Milk Stout with attitude. I didn't really get a lot of chocolate or oats in the flavour but it has a smooth and fairly rich body with plenty going on. The malts obviously rule the brew and I like sweet beers, so it was fine for me.
