A wonderful weekend in Atlanta led me to spend two days within waling distance of this fine pub. Getting to try everything they had was an adventure, but was easily accomplished. Consumed on 07/24/09 and 07/25/09.

Appearance - Pours a deep brown color, nice clarity to it. A small off white head emerges across the top and settles down with a nice little bit of lacing along the sides.

Smell - Deep caramel and nuttiness in the aroma. Very big with notes of alcohol and a big whiff of bready malts. This was nothing small, not by a long shot. In fact as it warmed it actually got bigger and the huge bready and grainy tones pretty much dominated over everything else.

Taste - Smooth, sweet and big would be the best way to categorize it. Very nice caramel and bready flavors up front, light touches of earthy bitterness to it and a warming feeling soothes you on the way down. Long lingering, smooth flavor sits well on the palate for a good bit after it is finished.

Feel - Nice medium body, not overly carbonated at all, just about right with a nice mellow feel to it and a really well done presence.

Drinkability - A bit high on the abv to be session able but certainly two a night would be no trouble here at all.

Overall - Very good I have to say I would definitely look for this one again. It was very solid and smooth and pretty dead on for the style.

Appearance: Pours a hazy brown body with a thin, off-white head.

Smell: Rich malty aroma of caramel and dark brown sugar. Plenty of spice, bananas, and bubblegum, too. Actually, good gracious, is the bubblegum especially strong in the aroma.

Taste: The taste of sweet malted wheat and caramel, along with the light spicing and banana notes really give the impression of banana bread. Finishes relatively sweet, but with a slight sour note right on the tailend.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Mild carbonation. Fairly smooth mouthfeel.

Drinkability: A lovely weizen bock that would be even nicer served up in the cooler months.
