On tap poured into a pint glass.

Just walked 2 miles out in the sun, and damn is this tasty! It pours a hazy dark amber with a nice one finger light amber head. Nose is nice and fresh and vegetal, pine and Sweet fruits.

Very balanced right off the start, I don't know why plan A was but this was a good one. Bitterness is light and refreshing, a light sweetness balances it out very well. Mouthfeel is light but creamy.

A wonderful weekend in Atlanta led me to spend two days within waling distance of this fine pub. Getting to try everything they had was an adventure, but was easily accomplished. Consumed on 07/24/09 and 07/25/09.

Appearance - The pour was about what I would expect given the style. Nice amber in color with a small head of white on top that had some really nice staying power I have to admit. Rich carbonation bubbling up through and almost transparent body.

Smell - The aroma was very bright. Lots of citrus hops here more then rising to the occasion. Light notes of pine, hints of light grains and a touch of bread all coming together very nicely. As it warms hops really take over and this one becomes a very nice west coast IPA.

Taste - Crisp, clean, bitter, just what I would want. Starts off with a big dash of orange and pineapple, smooth and full falling into a buttery mid palate that then explodes with lemon zest and grapefruit toward the finish. Long lasting and full of flavor. This is where it's at.

Feel - Nice medium feel and a smooth even carbonation. Nice coating across the tongue really builds a fine profile.

Drinkability - Outstanding, probably the easiest drinking one of the nights for sure. I would have no issue at all putting these down with great ease.

Overall - Solid as the day is long. This was a classic for me and made me stand up and take notice. I would love to have brought home a growler of this gem for sure.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, reddish-copper body with a small, creamy-looking, ivory-colored head.

Smell: Aroma of dried grapefruit rinds with a bit of caramel in the background.

Taste: Rich grapefruit flavor with a mild sweetness and a hint of caramel. Moderate bitterness with a nice earthiness. As one would expect, it finishes dry and bitterness. A hint of grass emerges as it warms.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: A very pleasant, wonderfully drinkable IPA.

Pours a barely translucent dark honey brown with a fairly thick off-white head. Aroma is seriously hoppy, similar to sniffing an evergreen tree, promising a great IPA. Flavor is seriously hoppy, like drinking a liquid pine tree - the way a great IPA should be! Fizzy, rough texture fairly attacks the tongue. This is one of the best IPAs I have ever had.
