An exceptional brew. You can taste the alcohol from the first sip but oh sooooo smooth! I tasted this after a 12 hour journey where Warsteiner was my only refreshment, so perhaps a little bias when I stress how heavenly this one is. By far the best triple I have quaffed so far. Fluffy head, golden body, no gas to speak of just an awesome beverage top to bottom. Served at refrigerator chilled temp 5-7 degrees, do yourself the honour and get this one on your shopping list!

330 ml bottle served at cellar temperature into a Gouden Carolus chalice. Best before May of 2019. Purchased as part of this years holiday pack from Het Anker.

Appearance - even a gentle pour yielded a mostly clear beer with some haze, a brilliant pale gold color, excessive carbonation and a gorgeous 2 plus finger egg-shell white coloured head. Loads of spotty lacing dress the glass. Monster retention. Just a beautiful beer.

Smell - wow this is loaded with fruit. Peaches dominate but plenty of perfume as well. Some sugar as well and possibly some sugar plums and nectarines, but peaches are the focal point.
Pretty incredible.

Taste - some fruit again with peaches and nectarines the focal point. Restrained sweetness, with some bitterness and some of the funky yeast, but dialled back compared to many Belgian classics. Booze is rather apparent but not distracting.

Mouthfeel- light body and soft feel, like velvet but not slick. Initially juicy, but finishes a little dry. Lots of carbonation but fits really well

Overall - wow an incredible beer, super soft and gentle feel, plethora of smells and flavours, and everything just fits here. Every once in a while these incredible Belgian tripels just catch me off guard and in awe. On par with the best from Unibroue, Westmalle and of course St. Bernardus. A must-try.

From the 750 ml. bottle dated 13/04/2015. Sampled on October 17, 2016.

Golden colored pour under a foamy cream colored and long lasting head. Busy carbonation.

The aroma is alive with roses, blossoms, or some kind of floral, flowery character along with apple and pear thrown in for good measure.

Medium to full body. Smooth texture.

The taste is as flowery as the nose suggests it would be with those added meaty fruits and leading up to a herbal or peppery bite at the finish. Lovely beer.

Cloudy golden colour with scant foam. Aromas of bread, apricot, honey, citrus and a hint of wet dog. Mouth feel is creamy and rich, well balanced by the carbonation. Flavours of apricot, honey, bread, citrus. High alcohol content is not overly apparent. An excellent tripel.

Straw coloured, quite cloudy. Foamy white head, good density, lasts well and leaves a nice lacing.
Light nose, with herbal notes and something like white grape.
Quite thick in mouth, light carbonation, and bitterness waiting her time to appear, followed by a whole bread taste and alcohol warmth. Pretty sweet for 9°. Fruity for the rest.
