Poured into a Gouden Chalice.
Looks goods, half hazed golden body, decent retaining head...inviting.

Aroma is smoked, imagine a curing shed for cured meats. Appealing, but not in a beer in my opinion.

Taste is very good, a sweet citrus and light hop with a lovely honey finish.

Feel is also solid, smooth down the throat, mainly due to honey infusion..to say this is 9%, it is a chuggable brew.

Overall, similar to a 'Barber', possibly edges it in that contest, but either way this is a worthwhile brew!

A: Pours a cloudy color of light orange. Ok head, maybe a little thick, sticks around.
S: Belgian yeast for sure, caramel, fruity hops with a little spice.
T: Yep, yeasty taste. It smells better than it tastes but it is still ok.
M: Light bodied with good carbonation.
O: This beer was perfectly drinkable, it just didn't make me say 'I really need more of this'.

Pours a cloudy orange gold color with almost champagne like carbonation. Aroma was yeast with an almost bubble gum sweetness. Taste was identical but there a slight bitter hop presence which made this a bit different than some sweet versions of this style. Overall this was surprisingly a very decent beer

Bottled and presumably bottled conditioned
pours crystal clear body with massively foaming white head
aroma has channeled the diactyl into a sweet candy note on the nose
sweet dessert wine flavour

Here in the ultra-superstitious US of A, the bottle has a picture of a cute little satan guy on it. It's so weird to me, how variable cultures are when it comes to what is or is not a transgression against religious symbolism.

Anyhow, this is a regular old Belgian strong-strength pale. Pours very hazy and honey-colored with a wee little wisp of a head.

Smells sweet and yeasty with nodes of honey, white pepper, and booze.

Tastes... fizzy. The fizz is intense and blots out much of the front end. The middle has strong nodes of honey and hay along with some light vanilla, and the finish is crisp and citrusy with some white pepper and alcohol on the finish.

From a 750 ml bottle in a snifter. This Belgian ale pours a cloudy
amber tinged straw color with a moderate head of white foam that
settles to a thin ring, thin layer, and light lacing. Nose of sweet candy malts,
zesty hops, subtle herbal and citrus notes, and light yeast notes. Flavors lightly
exceed the flavors with candy sugars balanced by light lemon zest and lightly
bitter hop notes mingling with light notes of cracker and subtle white peppery
notes. Excellent mouth feel; lightly warming, very dry on the finish, and medium low
carbonation. Overall a nice little brew.

Cheers

Pours a hazy to cloudy colour of a potato chips bag. Plenty of foam, especially when you first open the bottle.

Belgian yeast, candi sugar, caramel malt, fruity hops with a tinge of tartness.

Yeasty taste. Some candi sugar, fruity light tartness, kinda hoppy. Smell is superior to taste but it is still quite drinkable.

Fairly light bodied with light carbonation despite all that foam.

Dated April 23rd 2014. Best by or bottled on?

Hazy golden beer with huge white head, excellent retention.
Smell - yeasts, citrus, spices, apple, pear.
Taste follows the smell, moderately prominent alcohol, some bitterness in the finish.
Medium body and high carbonation.

Hazey golden color. Light head. Nose typical Belgian: spicy fruits, sweet malts, grassy and beady. Taste much the same as nose plus hints of hops, alcohol comes through (which I like), grape, Apple, citrus. Finish is crisp and sweet. Belgium does what it does best. If your a fan of the style this one should suffice without the chamay price tag.
