The Hefe Weizen at Triumph, the Philadelphia location, is listed at 5.3% ABV and needs to be corrected here.
Appearance: Served a hazy dark yellow color with decent head and lacing.
Smell: Big banana in the nose. Not over the top necessarily bur certainly dominant banana and yeast aromas, with a solid malt presence and some orange and spices as well. Very nice.
Taste: Extremely approachable friendly tasty beer that would likely appeal to many and yet has attributes even the more picky of us look for in a solid Hefe Weizen. Banana flavors and yeast with a sweet bready malt backbone and clove and orange spices.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and soft. Right on to style.
Drinkability: This is absolutely a drinkable beer. It is a summer champion for sure. Refreshing soft and quite quaffable from beginning to end.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

Pours a hazed amber brown. Yeasty nose that is just bringing the funk. Full banana on the flavor, which is kind of a good sign that these guys maybe sort of know what to do here. Nice robust and earthy profile. Full body feel on the mouth. Smooth carbonation. Overall very drinkable. Just a nice robust hefe.

Pours gold and cloudy, like a hefe should be, with a mountain of thick white head. I wish they used taller weizen glasses at triumph.
Banana esters rule the aroma, just like in every other half-decent hefe. Some phenolic spiciness is evident, but neither of these two yeast flavors are as strong as I'd like.
Tastes like it smells, maybe a shade stronger, but ultimately pretty much the same as 99% of the hefeweizens on the market.
Mouthfeel is light and creamy. Drinkability is good. Yawn.
