On tap at the brewery poured into a pint glass. Pours adeep reddish/brown with an average sized fizzy light beige head. Aroma of grains, bread, citrus and slight spice. Very bubbly and lively carbonation over a medium body and a very creamy finish. Flavor of brown crusty bread, grains, spice, and slight citrus. Not bad, but far too creamy on the finish.

Here is how I can describe Triumph Octoberfest:
A: This beer has a nice Amber/Copper color.
S: There is some faint bready smell
T: It has a semi-bitter taste, from the hops that were used.
M: This beer goes down smooth
D: This beer is very drinkable. This is a beer that I would drink yearround if availible.

A-Nice deep copper color with 1" head. Good sheet lacing.
S-Some bread but faint.
T-Malt dominates here with very little hop bite in the finish, but pretty good balance.
MF-Low carbonation, MF could be fuller though.
D-A pretty good O'Fest. Nothing outstanding but no real flaws either.

Triumph Philly's Oktoberfest pours the typical dark copper body and frothy off-white head that you'd expect. It's crystal clear, and gleeming highlight of orange and gold can be seen if held to the light. The nose is delicately bready and toasty with only a hint of floral and spicy hops in the background. In the mouth it's creamy smooth with a malty, medium body and fine-bubbled moderate carbonation. The flavor is just as smooth, and it's superbly rounded with a very nice, lightly-sweet malt base that's softly bready and lightly toasty peppered by a delicate hoppiness. The bitterness is kept in check, and this is really a quaffer, whereas many brewpubs tend to go a bit overboard with their fest. Perfectly done! Remarkably clean! Well worth trying!
