Into a pint glass, this settles a deep reddish amber color and reveals a huge bright herbal bouquet for a nose that you might sense if you walked into a gourmet tea house. From start to finish, the feel on the palate is remarkably smooth yet robust and well rounded with a kaleidoscope of delicious and friendly notes on the tongue from hints of cinnamon to light coriander to dark sweet berries. I'm sure there are other herbal sensations in here that I can't quite put a name to. Based on this brew, I am intrigued with this ancient style and hope I can find other great beers that at least match up to if not expand on the experience.
