First had: on tap at Triumph, Philly, PA
Poured a clear bronzed color with a creamy cap of white head that dissipated to a thin layer of bubbles, and left a bit of lace. Big piney hop profile in the aroma, citrusy, with a definite sweet malt base. Hops in the taste right up front, piney, citrus zest, and a bit earthy, with just enough sweet, pale malts to take the edge off. Definitely doesn't taste as strong as it is, alcohol-wise. Light-medium body, crisp, and pretty easily drinkable.

On tap at the brewery poured in a pint glass. Pours hazy amber-orange with a generous frothy tan head. Head slowly fades to a thin cover but leaves good lace. On the nose, it has the typical American double IPA aroma. Lots of grapefruit, with pine and resin and a bit of spice and pine. There is also a fair bit of alcohol and acid apparent. The taste is bitter up front, but it becomes even more so as it develops. The finish is long and super-hoppy, with a touch of malt. On the palate, it is medium in body with a milky texture and moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a decent DIPA.

Pours a clean and clear golden amber color with nice cap of frothy white head, good retention and nice sticky lacing. Scent is of tropical and citrus fruits, mostly grapefruit with some mango and orange. First sip is firmly bitter and warm with alcohol, the bitterness and grapefruit flavor give it a fresh fruit feeling. Piney hop flavors are also present along with only a touch of a sweet malt backbone. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy, dry with some lingering bitterness and alcohol warmth. A very nice dIPA which the only flaw is the bitterness combined with alcohol warmth bfore the fruit flavors kick in.
