Visited this, the second Tiumph I have been to, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, when much of Old City was still reeling from the night before.

Much like the New Hope version, this abounded of wood, stel and glass, all industrial size and scope. I love this look, I always will. I especially love the built-in wine rack in back of the barthat has pipes and brick as it's back drop. The atm, osphere was friendly, and apreciative of good conversation, albeit with very few people to divide attention among, but overall, very nice.

The quality was good. Some beers were ok, some were good. I will say this, they need to buy some more hops for their IPA's. But the other versions were good.

Service was nothing but appropriate and accommodating. The selection was good, with all of their regular suspects on tap, and a couple seasonals.

I did, however, learn that they do not fill other brewers' growlers. I know it's a 50/50 thing, but I do not appreciate it when places don't.

I would visit this place again in a heartbeat, I will, however, make sure that it is not a friday or saturday night. I wouldn't want crowds to cloud.

Above ratings not really true since I couldn't get in. It does not appear to be open. There was an official note on the door. Bartender at another place said he had heard from someone who worked there that they seemed to have been bought out by a new group? Anyhow, may want to call or check for details before planning on an event here.

The wife and I checked in at our hotel in Penn's Landing and walked to Old City just past I-95. Saturday night, all the preppy kids from the suburbs are out in full force in and around the bars in Chestnut street.

I like Triumph so we went in to check out this branch of the chain. Packed- we get carded. All white people drinking god-knows-what. Good service, though, despite the crowds. Efficient enough. We sat at a high-top table in the bar area.

9 taps, but three are gone (Honey, Amber, Bengal IPA). I had the Imperial Stout on nitro, good stuff, love the creaminess, but nothing to write grandma about. The wife went for El Dorado Pale Ale, alright as well.

Other stuff on tap: Scottish Ale, Belgian Strong, ESB on cask. This is a big place, a bit corporate looking and it suffers from the lame crowd. But at least it wasn't super loud or crazy despite being very busy. At $4-$6 per beer, prices are alright.

I won't revisit, I don't think. Too many good bars around (Eulogy across the street, Khyber Pass around the corner)
