Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with medium head with average retention. Aroma is comprised mostly of what I think is the Cheval Blanc yeast. Taste is also tainted with this yeast, which has a very particular small and taste but that I very much enjoy. Malt is also present. Overall, I guess this is an above average amber ale (which in my mind is far from the most innovative or complex style out there). Note, this was a freshly brewed bottle which always increase the quality of Cheval Blanc since there are not known to age very well.

A- Dark amber, almost a light brown. Cloudy from yeast sediment. OK, slightly sticky head.

S- Malt and alcohol. Spicy fruit. Yeasty smell present but not too strong.

T- Fruity hops bitterness with a touch of yeast. Touch of ethanol on back of tongue with some bite from spicy flavour (peppery) mixed in with the alcohol. Good balance of yeast and hops, better than many beers on lees.

MF- Carbonation a touch high. Nice feeling. Not too watery but not heavy either. Good overall.

D- Easy to take beer with flavour.

This is one of my favorites, possibly my favorite, from Brasseurs RJ.

Pours a slightly cloudy amber/orange, big off white head, nice lace. Smell is floral, some malt, spice and yeast are present. Taste is robust and malty, floral and spice, wheat, bready yeast. Mouthfeel is light-medium, medium carbonation, very smooth and tasty.

Appearance: This generic 341ml bottle poured an orange fluid with lots of foam on top.

Smell: The only aroma I got is wheat, wheat and wheat.

Taste: It is not bad, but it is hard to get the others flavours when you only taste the strong wheat presence.

Mouthfeel: Very creamy. Not too bad.

Drinkability: It is a good beer, but amber should not only be a colour. Also, they really need to redesign their label. It is ugly as lots of grocery store's private brands.

Pours a clear orange amber color, but a bit of yeast trub escaped into the glass so the carbonation wasnt visable thru the resulting haze. A slightly off white head retains itself well with a few spatters of lacing.

Aroma is a crisp lemon and yeast blend with a bit of phenol and weiss-like clove.

Remarkable malt flavors start things off - rich sugar frosted grain taste with hints of wheat and caramel. More lemon notes wrap the tongue along side a firm hop bite and yeast tartness. Medium bodied with an abrupt finish and belgianesque zesty, sourish aftertaste.

Interesting and tasty, a different sort of session beer.
