This place has gone way down hill after they fired their beer manager. The owner, jan, is annoying and always shit talking beer.

Would agree with the first comments from Jda007 on this wine and beer store. Small & narrow location, mainly given over to wine, of which a good selection, though mainly from the US, some from Spain, Australia, and France so reasonable choice at decent prices. Also a large selection of Spirits, some of which I had not seen before.

Rear section has chiller cabinets with large selection of bottled beers, which is worth checking out for the range which covers just about every taste. Many beers there I had not seen in any other beer store in Tampa area, so worth a visit when in the Lutz area. The shopping mall with the store is at junction of Dale Mabry and Van Dyke, opposite northern boundary of Lake Park. They have a second store at 19233 N Dale Mabry Lutz which also has tasting facilities - though mainly for the wines. Also cheeses and cigars available.

Not too bad overall. It's one of the best places to get beer in North Tampa - last time I was there they had a decent selection of Belgians, Unibroue, and the like. Probably around 50 or so different kinds. I actually remember them having several Jolly Pumpkin beers as well. They actually have some decent beers and they were more than happy to order me a case of Caracole not long ago. The staff was pretty friendly, they obviously are taught a bit about beer and were willing to suggest things to a neophyte.

The second Jan's Wine actually has several beers kept on tap - I believe I saw a few Dogfish and two Belgians. Overall, if you are in Lutz and and want to grab some excellent beer, Jan's Wine and Boos has got plenty on hand to keep you sated.
