This was an interesting beer the type of which you really don't see a lot. A hearty yellow beer with a substantial amount of haze running throughout it, I assume it must be yeast because the aroma is almost all alcohol and not really any hop notion to it. Small 1/3" white head. There was some yeast phenols noticeable, but I'm still wondering where this one is going.

Taste was just belgian strong pale ale all over it, hot alcohol, warming as fans of the style would say, I say without much else going on in the way of hops or malt, the alcohol just trounces everything in its way.

For some reason I have some recollection of this being brewed by Mendocino at one time? Contract? Either way, bomber format, total pass

Thick hazy yellow beer. Wondering if this is like a Belgian blonde with the 8% abv on the side. Aroma was slightly hoppy and spicy.

Taste was kind of like a precursor to the Bruery's Mischief (not even as good though). Tried to get some hops in there, but it wasn't enough to cover up the hot hot alcohol in this bad boy. The cream aspect of it couldn't cover it up. Needed some bitterness to cover the alcohol.

An adventurous foray for when it came out. This kind of beer is made much better in Placentia though (although weird the precursor style and similarity of the cities names in which both breweries exist(ed)).

Poured a cloudy golden color with a large bubbled head that disappeared immediatly. No lace at all.
Light smells of sweet malt, fruit, tea and a bit of hops.
Tastes of grainy sweet malt and fruit. Finishes with a tangy hop bitterness. The flavors were all subdued but the balance was pretty good. An alcohol warmth was also present.
Good mouthfeel. Medium bodied, rich and creamy with good carbonation.
Decent drinkability. A little light on the flavors. The alcohol was present in a belly warming sort of way but was actually hidden well in the taste.

Medium gold color, Medium head. Aroma is malty and slightly hoppy. A medium bodied very hoppy blond ale. The mild and sweet malts are kind of overpowered by the citrusy, grapefruity hops, Its very unbalanced but as an American Pale Ale it sort of works. Hides the 8% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.
