Mark and Peter are very reliable and knowledgeable guys. The selection is growing big time since they hired Mark. He homebrews so OBVIOUSLY he knows about beer styles you might be looking for or new ones you haven’t tried yet. Just ask him. He will help you and you will go home happy with the beer he helps you pick out.
They always have a great selection of Stone, Lagunitas, Firestone, Mikkeller, Anchorage Brewing, Bootleggers, Ventura Surf, Knee Deep, etc. just to name a few. Plenty of barrel aged stuff, IPAs, stouts, lagers, etc. whatever the style you want they got it.
Chatsworths only REAL bottle shop. I highly recommend this place.
And unlike Total Wine or BevMo, they keep ALL their beer cold. Very important.

I come here all the time they really know their stuff when it comes to anything that has liqour in it, great beer selection, if they don't have it they will try to get it for you. Prices are great, service is awesome I definitely recommend this place, worth checking it out. I've called in more than once to get a beer at closing time and they were willing to stay open until I showed up. I have also purchased beer glasses from here, they have all you need in the shop glasses, beer, wine, and spirits. They don't have the prics on their bottles, but if you see the beer you want it shouldn't matter

I driven past this place probably over 100 times over the years and never gone in. The only reason I dis was because I saw it reviewed on here. Otherwise like me over the years, you'd never really think this place had decent if any beer.

One of my biggest pet peeves is not having bottles priced. So you have to gamble on the price or ask for every damn bottle which is so annoying.

The selection wasn't big by any means but there's is about 5 coolers with a decent selection. I don't see a ton of people knowing about this place or going here for beer. So it's good to mix in cuz they will probably be sitting on some good bottles while other places sell out. They have a pretty good Belgian section, a handful of German beers I hadn't seen before and a pretty good Local/CA supply. They have Sculpin, 3/4 case of XXIII, Burton Baton, A few Jolly Pumpkins I have seen around here, etc.

After I asked a bout a few prices, that weren't unreasonable, I asked how much he was selling the Utopias that was on the counter for. He said $250. I thought "Go Fuck yourself with that nonsense". Not that I want it, but if I did I save myself 75 bucks and get it elsewhere.

I have probably driven by this place around 500 times in the past couple years, so I stopped in on a whim today to see if it was a diamond in the rough. I wasn't disappointed. Nothing amazing, but definitely a very solid selection. All of the California regulars were represented, and there were some interesting Belgians and some stuff from Mikkeler as well. Not sure about the turnover, as they had some IPAs past freshness, but at least everything was refrigerated unlike many places. The manager was helpful and told me to call when Parabola came in and he'd put one in the back for me. It's always refreshing not to have to shop at Bevmo. It probably won't become my #1 store, but I will definitely be back.

8/27/12 Update: With new beer buyer Mark, the selection has vastly improved & continues too. They now have a dedicated FB page, with updates of new beer arrivals, which has been great. Would still like to see some prices on their bottles, but otherwise, things just keep getting better at Liquids.

Hmm, should I review this place...well looks like there are alread three, so it's on the map now. Liquid Wine and Spirits it's at the end of a small mini mall, on an otherwise residential stretch of Topanga Canyon. To some, it's sort of not majorily on the radar for beer, since even though this place has been here for probably a decade, they largely deal in wine, and some spirts. The beer selection use to be pretty mediocre, but with so many Bevmo's popping up in the valley over th last 5 years, they adjusted what they carry, and it seems as though over the last year or so, it keeps getting better. I've found Abyss here, Abacus, a healthy supply of Stone Colloboration beers, and a few other gems.

As others have already stated, all of the 8 cooleres are full of beer (some white wine and Sake in one) so the stock is kept cold, but, no price labels, so you either have to ring it up to find out what it costs, or ask, but the prices are reasonable, have not seen anything that made me put a beer back if I was interested in it. If your in the area, then it's a decent spot to check now and then for the better seasoanl craft beer, and a few rare off the shelf releases.

I have been here a few times now due to the fact that it is very close to my work. This is mainly a wine store with some liquor and beer being sold too. All beer is in coolers with about 8 cooler doors dedicated to beer only. Selection is exceptional for the area and everything is pretty fresh. The only thing kind of iffy is some Belgian beers with faded labels that look like they have been there for ages. Lots of hidden goodies can be found here. For example, this is the only place I was able to find the Stone 14th Anniversary beer. Workers have been friendly enough every time I have been in. Prices are pretty reasonable compared to other places selling the same beer. The only complaint I have is that none of the beer is marked with prices so you have to keep asking the prices from the cashier. Overall, a worthwhile place to visit if you are in the area.

All beer is Refrigerated.

Small place but with great choices.

All the three guys working were real nice, one of them even

cracked open an Octoberfest by new Belgium for me to taste with

them which I thought was REALLY NICE of them.

You can even build your six pack which I thought was great.

Great place with great service.

I will definitly go back. I highly recommend.

Overall it is a great-small beer store with good quality. They also

Have A LOT of wine and spirits.

ALL THE BEER IS REFRIGERATED. Big props up front for that.

The 6 or 7 craft beer cooler doors in this somewhat claustrophobic wine shop are filled with awesome choices, focused mainly on California craft and European offerings.

I understand their beer distributor is Stone, which explains the many great choices.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Beer prices are in line with what I expected.

I walked in looking for one specific beer and left with a $60.00 haul of stuff I hadn't expected to find.

I will definitely visit this place again!
