Solid selection of beers on tap with a seasonal running through a Randy. Accessible to tram station. They offer brick oven pizzas and non-traditional pub food. They also have hourly brewery tours.

Went here with the wife 28/3/14 canned Fancy Pants release party. The place only opens 2 nights a week, Wednesday and Friday at 5, I was told to show up when they open the doors cause the place fills fast. This was good advice, by 6 the place was hopping and standing room only. Big open air warehouse with 40 high foot ceiling's couches, tables and some beer barrels acting as small tables. The breweries in clear view and walls covered with beer boxes. The music was great and not to loud and on this day they even had a taco truck parked inside, kick ass. The tacos were great but tiny and at 5$ a pop I spent 20$ in seconds and could've devoured 4 more. Lots of bartenders behind the bar and everyone I talked knew about the beers. 11$ a pints not cheap but it didn't stop me from downing a few pints of the RyeIPA, I liked it and stuck to it. I left with a 10$ bomber of India Red Ale and a 15$ 4 pack of canned Fancy Pants that everyone else was drinking. It was kinda strange watching everyone drinking tasty craft beer out of a can at a brew pub but whatever. We were only there 2 hours and racked up a decent bill but had fun, the place was packed like sardines by 7 and there's plenty of space, popular place. I'd go back in a second and its just a short walk from Slowbeer so you can hit them both no problem.

Well hidden in the back streets of Richmond, next to the Royston, and not too far from Slowbeer. Not that easy to find, as a web resource (forget which one) gave us wrong address. Also not too easy for first-time-tram users to work out where to alight.

The bar is housed in the warehouse/brewery, and a selection of chairs are strewn round the place, making for a rustic but comfy feel. It's open from 5 on Wed and Fri, and we went on Wed, and business was starting, so not too full. Nice.

All the regular MG on tap ( plus Skipping Girl), plus one new keg-only - Little Sister. Rapunzel thru the Randy was a real highlight. Staff great, very friendly.

Didn't have food, but two pizza choices only available. That's why we didn't have it(!)

Nice overall, will return one day - however, and it's a small however, it really only beckons if you like Pizza and are a die hard fan of the core MG range, as there is little apart from that on offer, beer-wise, rather than venue-wise.

No tours on Friday nights, but had a great night. It opens at 5pm and I would suggest getting there soon after. I got there at 7pm and had to wait outside for a few minutes - they were operating a 1 in 1 out policy.

They have the full range of regular beers on offer plus a couple of specials. Also have one of their beers on the Randy.

Pizzas are reasonable sized and the smells from the kitchen were delightful,

Good relaxed vibe and got chatting to a few of the other punters. I think drinking in a brewery makes people that little bit more relaxed than they would be in a regular bar. Always something a little unique to talk about as well.

Friendly and efficient staff. I never had to wait long for a drink.

Located in an industrial neighborhood in Richmond, this brewery is a gem. The opportunity to visit and taste the goods is limited to Wednesday and Friday night. (I haven't yet been to the tour on Wed.).
We walked into a warehouse with ambient light and a decent crowd of 75+ and they had only been open for an hour. It was obviously a place for people to come and relax after a long week of work. Couches, low tables, high tables, and a few tables with chairs are scattered around, with the occasional foosball table. It was apparent where the action was happening after scanning to find the bar with a massive pizza oven behind it. AS busy as it was there was no line at the bar. Drinks are ordered and the pizza order went in and came after drinking about half the beer--pretty quick service. There wsa no wait staff per se. It seemed that everyone of the workers was helping out in different ways, and everyone seemed happy to be there.
The beer was amazing, they have a few special beers on tap and after having their very good amber (Hightail), I had a feeling their extra beer would be good. They had the Bigfoot IRS and a Coffee IPA on--both were amazing! I hope the coffee IPA catches on. It added a subtle quality to the traditional IPA in a similar way that smoke adds to a helles lager.
Beyond the beer the pizza was amazing too. Crisp crust on the bottom, with chewy soft dough for the rest. Spicy salami, red pepper and a light tomato sauce--delicious!
Everything was reasonably priced--4.50-7.50 for 375ml, and 6.50-9.50 for a pint; 14 for a pizza (enough for 2 if your wife doesn't eat like a man). Having lived in Chicago for years, I would absolutely pay these prices, especially to support an independent brewing company.

Overall, I can't wait to go back, and hopefully catch a tour, and a t-shirt.
