One of the premier places, for a beer aficionado, in the Allston-Brighton complex. They know their beer, foreign and domestic, and the taplist every time I've been has exemplified that. If you're anywhere near here, you must make it a stop.

This is one of the few places I have been to that was ranked among the best on BA in its city and left me shaking my head. The ambiance was nice and the staff was friendly but the tap list was horrible. I ended up settling for a session beer from Mystic only because no interesting options were present. Left after the one point. Very disappointed.

 

 

 

 

 

One of the best beer bars I've ever been to.

The tap list is insanely good- they tend to focus on really interesting German lagers, and German-style American lagers, so lots of Aecht Schlenkerla, Mahr's, Weihenstephaner, Kuhlmbacher, etc for the German side, and lots of killer MA area breweries doing traditional styles, including Idle Hands, Notch, Mayflower, Pretty Things, etc. One of the most nicely curated beer lists ever.

The food is awesome, upscale gastropub bar food. Amazing Kimchi hot dog.

At night time, the place does become incredibly dark- it's hard to read the menu. I guess that's the vibe they're going with, which is fine.

 

Great food, good selection of beers. Usually has a decent mix of local, domestic craft, and euro's. Food is great -- the pickled beet salad is phenomenal. Staff has always been awesome!

Loved this place, excellent vibe, excellent beer selection, small menu but amazing quality. Can't wait to go back.
