Appearance: It has a nice clear golden/copper color to it. It has a nice thick off-white head that dies down very slowly and leaves nice lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of citrus, pine and grapefruit with a strong malt profile giving it some nice caramelly notes.

Taste: Like the aromas, i'm getting that grapefruit and pine taste from the hops but it also has alot of bready malts.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel and it leaves a nice lingering bitterness.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavors and aromas. Good I.P.A. but the hops were a little too drowned out by the malts for my liking.

Bottled nine days ago. Very fresh.

Solid, gem-like amber color with a frothy tan head that settles as a foamy film and collar. Minimal lacing on my glass.

Surprisingly rich hop aroma with a solid grapefruit citrus note and a buttery caramel backing.

Toasted malt taste, almost a sour bitterness. Very creamy on the tongue despite a low carbonation. Citrus comes through again and so does an almost banana bread flavour.

Well-rounded, but maybe a bit too yeasty in the aftertaste.

A) amber in color, decent head, floaty bits that looked more like trub than yeast

S) For an IPA "designed to appeal to hop heads" the aroma is tiny and what is there is rather malty and biscuity rather than hoppy

T) much more of a UK IPA than a WC IPA but with increased bitterness

M) more full than dry with a lingering bite

O) in the spectrum of beer as a whole I'd call this a 3.5 but in the spectrum of the IPA market it is well below that.

Got this in a beer trade from ritzkiss. Batch 1239 packed on 03/11/11.

A- A one inch head topped the deep golden ale. Head has really good retention but it is not very sticky.

S- Have a tough time getting the aroma past the head. A lot of sweet malts, caramel and biscuits. Not what I was expecting here.
T- This us what I wanted. Malts dominate the forefront by are quickly supported by fresh, citrus hops. Bitterness is mixed oh so well for an almost perfectly balanced drink.

M- Bitterness is still lingering. Slowly transforms into a floral note.

O- The smell was a little troublesome in the beginning, but the taste is what I was looking for when I made this trade. Not one regret now for this.

IPEh? is a delightful little beer. Pours a beautiful copper colour with an off-white head that leaves nice lacing. The smell is quite sweet but no dry-hopping here - at least not that I can tell. A hint of grapefruit. But once you take a sip, it's no longer a hint. It smashes your tastebuds with citrus, almost no up-front malty sweetness (contrary to the smell), and VERY bitter. Hmmm... I think that's the description of the ideal American IPA. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Overall - wow. Good job Beau's!

A bright amber gold with a huge, thick, sparkling, amberish head that starts at 2 inches and lasted to the bottom of the glass. Very good lacing with large bubbles.

I did not need to get close to immediately enjoy the aroma that is balanced with sweet biscuit malt and freshly cut hay hops smells.

There is lots of hops in the taste. Bitter taste of hay and grass. The taste is consistent with the aroma. A long lasting bitter aftertaste.

Medium, slightly oily feel.

This is a solid American IPA but it needs more complexity in the hops and a stronger maltiness in the taste to take it to the next level.

We were lucky enough to get this beer in my LCBO eventhough it isn't in Toronto or near Quebec. Comes in at 5.6% ABV for their 2012. Comes in a 600mL.

Appearance - copper pour, nice two finger head that turns into a nice small layer ontop of the beer. Looks like a nice easy drinking ipa. Filtered, little carbonation. Good looking bottle as well, enjoy their caps, "This Machine Kills Imports".

Smell - citrus and pine mostly.

Taste - right upfront its nice and fruity and ends piney.

Mouthfeel - Feels extremely nice, could easily crush a couple of these in a sitting. The bitterness starts off big and dies down pretty fast but leaves your mouth dry enough to need more of it.

Overall - it is an amazingly sessionable beer. I recommend this beer to people who are seasoned ipa drinkers as well as people who are looking to get in to the craft ipa scene because it gives you a taste of piney, fruity, american and english ipa's.

Poured in a riedel magnum red wine glass

A: Pours a deep amber color, with almost foam? Even pouring it violently, the beer shows no sign of carbonation! I was afraid it would be flat, but beer has a almost decent, low carbonation level.

S: Pretty hoppy, with cooked orange rind, notes of caramel and tea, spices.

T: Pretty nice, good bitterness, but not much aromatic hops. Lacks a bit of originality. It would be a pretty toned down american IPA, or a pretty toned up english IPA. Overall, good but not oustanding.

From notes:

Appearance: beautiful amber with hint of a deeper red; produces a great head

Aroma: nothing too strong, get a sense of balanced hops and malts

Taste & Mouthfeel: very crisp, cutting flavour and mouthfeel; turns very hoppy quick and last long on the tongue; very clean taste and nice carbonation

Overall: a great IPA with a hoppiness that jumps out quick and sticks with you in a nice, refreshing way.

A: Copper with a slight cloudiness, 3 fingers of slightly beige creamy white head with large and small bubbles as well as chunks of lacing. Little fine bubbled carbonation.

S: Pine, citrus, tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, papaya, onion, a little dankness.

T: Lots of up front bitterness, orange, mango, pine, light sweetness, onion, dankness, but mostly bitterness that is like cayenne pepper without the heat. Well balanced, solid beer.

M: Syrupy resinous body, little to no carbonation.

O: Well crafted, so proud of this Canadian IPA. Balanced, got all the hops and malt, not overly sweet. Very enjoyable.

Beaus bomber bottle into pint glass. Colour is an orangey coppery brown with a nice creamy head that has really great retention and lacing. Beer is unfiltered and cloudy.

S - fruity, a touch of grapefruit, pomegranate, pale bready malts, some light melon character to it. Definitely not a west coast citrus bomb, this is subtle, some pine, earthy and slightly herbal. Understated, with a fair bit of caramel maltiness, but interesting.

T - starts of with red fruits, cherry and apple, lemony, then more of a malt profile comes out, bready and toasty caramel. Its a bit sweet. Toffee and caramel, but some earthy hoppiness to balance it out. Finish is dry, hay note, and earthy.

M - moderate bodied, with an appropriate carbonation. A bit of a coating sweetness but it is a tasty session IPA, goes to a bit more bitter on finish. Easily drinkable with a moderately assertive palate.

Overall a decent and tasty, though not inspiring take. Certainly an approachable IPA that also has some flavour, the hops are restrained and earthy, some citrus to it. It does make for a decently rounded IPA, but Ontario has more exciting offerings in the style recently. One I would have again certainly, but not a must try I think, far from the promised hop bomb. Still overall enjoyable experience.
