Appearance: It has a nice hazy golden/yellow color to it. It has a nice white head that dies down moderately and leaves some lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of bready and grainy malts, pine, grassy hops and citrus (lemon).

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a grassy bitterness upfront, slight piney resins, grainy malts, some breadiness, orange and lemon.

Mouthfeel: It has a low carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavors and aromas.

Bottle from the Beau's home delivery service. Bottles February 19. Maybe they should think about knocking down the price if they're gonna sell hoppy beers direct from the brewery that are this old. From notes.

A - Straw golden colour. Good carbonation, bright. One finger creamy white head. Good lace rings, half finger of retention.

S - Grassy, grainy, orange, sweet fruits.

T - Citrus, grain, orange, a little alcohol. Boozy oranges. More grassy later.

M - Good carbonation, medium to full body, light dryness to finish.

O/D - A pretty decent imperial pils. A little tame and not as pungent in the hop department as other examples of the style, but it worked. Drinkable, but more alcohol was present than I would like. That would most likely be masked if the bottle was more fresh though. Also not as complex as other, better examples of the style. I'm not ragging on this beer, it was quite good, it just had potential to be REALLY good and failed to follow through.
