Ok for a
light. Used to drink this abundantly in younger years for lighter
taste, low alcohol. Better than a national brand but a specialized
niche product not for all. Too bittersweet, lemony aftertaste.
Difficult to drink a second. Not satisfying beverage.

Not bad for a light beer. Golden colored, but much more head on this than other light beers I've had. Nice foamy lacing... ever see that on a Miller Light? A sweet malty flavor with a touch of citrus. Nothing too complex but nothing foul about it either and decent flavor for the style. If you're into light beers, sub this for some others you might have from time to time and you'll probably not want to switch back.

Not too bad. Definitely a light beer, but still has some character to it. Pours a very pale, piss yellow with a small head. It's most detrimental attribute. However, it's all uphill from their. The smell is of fresh bread, lemon, pine and grapefruit. Tastes pretty good. Light malty taste, which is a bit sour as well. I believe the sourness is caused by the citrus hops used. Aftertaste is dry and bitter. Mouthfeel is light and carbonated. Decent beer. A light beer worthy of drinking.

I found this to be something of a surprise out of the Upper Canada six pack sampler. It seems to me to be a rather decent light lager. Typically I don't expect much out of a light beer, but this one actually offered up some flavour.

Pale, pale yellow. Moderate head that quickly dissipated, no lace. Carbonation quite noticeable on drinking. Slightly sweet smell. Mild lingering hops.

A drinkable light beer.

--regular, brown bottle, no freshness date to be found.
--Poured a light straw like in color. Very little head that did not last long. Pretty much no lacing to be found.
--Has a slight sweet smell to it.

Overall I must say this is one of the better light beers I have tried. It is pretty carbonated but overall not too bad. I don't drink many light beers but I would drink this again.
Thx

This is an attempt (and a good one) bt a Canuk mireo brewer to ape a standard mega brewer's lager....to be more blunt what I belive they attempted to do was improve on Labatt's blue light (which they did) and steal Labatt's blue regular drinkers....which they could. This is probably the nicest light beer I have ever tasted but it is so much like Labatt's blue I gotta ask why bother when full strength 5% blue is so prevailant?

Comes in UCB's nondistinct labeled brown bottle (no detectable freshness date). Pours a darker yellow than most mega-brew light beers. Has some slight detectable whiffs of malt and hop (unlike most mega brewed lights) and has a small fast to disappear head.
Starts like a light pilsner then goes to a watery palate and non spectacular finish. This is in the same taste range as Labatt's Blue but with less ABV.

A good rendition of a light pilsner lager beer but too weak in the pilsen character for my taste.

Bought at The Beer Store (Terry Fox North of the 417: Kanata), a couple of days in the trunk, a couple of days in the fridge.

The head is medium-sized, white and densish. There are small spots of lacing. The beer is a clear, pale gold with thick carbonation. The smell is lagery with roasted nuts on a sweet backbone. There is some fruitiness in the front. The middle is light and moves quickly to a bitter, nutty finish. Nice.

For a light lager, this is pretty darn good. Very refreshing.

A nice light lager, makes me want to diet...not really, but...
this is nice, colour is good and body is medium/full...limited head and mouthfeel is acceptable...taste is a of the hops(sort of) lingering mild.....worthwhile product if "Light" is your beer of choice.

Presentation: 12 oz. bottle with a picture of a river and a flying bird.

Appearance: Clear, light pale-yellow with a thin white head.

Smell: Slight hints of grain and malt sweetness.

Taste: Highly carbonated with a refreshing malt sweetness that blends well with the puckering lemon hop flavour.

Notes: Crisp, clean and a rather nice light beer. This could easily replace your standard "lawn mowing beer" or it might make a great intro beer to intice an American Lager drinker in expanding their tastes.
