This medium-bodied beer uses a variety of Belgian caramel malts to produce a sweet malty flavor and ruby red color. Imported hops lend a noticeable spicy aroma to this classic red ale.

Decent beer; amber with a small amount of head and little to no lacing. Smells of hops and crystal malt; not as good as the red lager (cerveza especial) kind of funky hop malt mixture. But decently drinkable and still overall a decently fun brew to drink (although not mindblowing by any means).

At Rock Bottom this is my standby if there isn't a seasonal that catches my attention.
The color is a mezmorizing deep red, damn near a burgundy. The slightly bitter taste, assisted by a low-medium carbonation level, hits you and lets you know this is a real beer.

Equal parts medium brown, red and orange that looked a little like strong iced tea. The lid was light tan in size, small in color and fell to a thin covering film, leaving lace in thin rings and sudsy sheets.
Although the nose was low on power, medium-dark malt and spicy hops were appreciated. I enjoyed the flavor quite a bit. Specifics included caramel malt countered by spicy, earthy hops. MIYER started out sweet, was balanced in the middle, and ended with a moderately bitter finish. The mouthfeel was smooth and almost creamy.
Mud In Your Eye Red is a pretty impressive American red ale. The light spiciness and the mouthfeel were highlights. It also held up well to a seriously spicy Chipotle Chicken pizza. This is one of Rock Bottom's better beers for sure.
