Cloudy, light yellow straw color, pillow-y, frothy white head. The smell is very fresh and zesty, of lemon peel and sweet wheat malt. There is an apparent wheat and bread/yeast character to the flavor but ruled by citrus-like zest of lemon and a little orange, some bubble gum. It is very grassy and earth-like in flavor as well. The mouth feel is OK, but not too tangy or spicy, a bit sparkling. All in all, a pretty solid summer offering, quite drinkable, but definitely not a standout.

Tasted On-Tap 09/14/05 at the Minneapolis, MN location.

Cloudy golden color with a white head, good carbonation, and good lace. Nice bubblegum yeasty aroma and flavors; possibly more bubblegum character than any other hefeweizen's I've ever had. Light-medium bodied with a nice fruity yeasty finish.

Overall good but there are tastier selections to move on to.

I've had this on tap before, but review for the first time with a growler.

Hazed p[ale yellow coloration, small, diminishing head.

Aroma leaps out, big banana, but I've yet to bring it up to the nose...
citrus foremost, orange, lemon, then banana, a meringue merengue, smooth and creamy, little spice or hops.

Very pleasant, if placid, on the tongue. Medium-bodied, good flavor, but, a bit too blase', if I may. An easily drinkable weizen, sure to please many a palate among the Rock Bottom throngs. Anyone looking for more will find this rather run of the mill.

Flavor is consistent, though, if on the mundane side...carries though the pint, which is more than I can say about other weizens I've met. A passable brew for summertime.

On tap...Twin Cities Pub Crawl 2004...

Hazy as appropriate, lighter than some in color, a dirty lemon yellow appearance. Head is a minimal skim. Looping laces, punctuation marks. Not a great aroma, slight dishwater detergent, some residual yeastiness doesn't complimant this well. Adequate cottony mouthfeel, bubblegum esters with an end thats properly lemonish in quality but with light metallics and an overall soapiness that creeps in from the aroma. Lots of aftertaste. Meets style in some points, but its not a well-cooked example top my tongue.
