11-12 oz sample from the growler. The beer pours a solid lighter golden color with a finger and half of head that falls to a full coat over top. A moderate cascade of bubbles roll up the sides and help maintain the head. Nose is fairly malty and sugary sweet, with a lighter floral hop, light banana. Lots going on there. The sweetness smells a bit cloying. Flavor is a little more balanced. Initial is a light grainey and malty sweet base with a sugary note. This moves to a floral hoppyness, with just a kiss of banana, finishing somewhat herbal and moderately hopped, but not too bitter. Just okay. Feel is moderate with a light carbonation. I want it to be more carbonated. It would help the beer in my opinion. Overall, this one is just okay. The spiceyness is there, but very subdued. I don't think I would get it again. Its not doing anything to impress me.

Had at the pub last night.

Pour was light amber with a fairly large head. DId not provide much lacing.

Spicy nose with plenty of yeast. Medium mouthfeel, grainy feel. Intersting. Spicy flavors of pepper, corriander and again, the yeast. Not overly complex for style. Still, it lacks flaws and is enjoyable. I had this about 6 months to a year ago and remember it being more complex.

The finish has a snappy hop bitterness with the yeast still there.

Growler snagged from Rock Bottom yesterday evening. Pours into my tulip glass a clear copper orange color with a soft, big bubbly white head that falls fairly quickly. Aromas of slighlty roasted grains covered in a wash of fruity flavors of apple and citrus. A nice underlying peppery spiciness with a touch of yeast as well as a hint of clove. Pretty nice!

First sip brings pale, slightly roasted and caramelly maltiness upfront met by a mix of citric and light fruity flavors. A yeasty, phenolic flavor comes in midway through along with a mellow pepper & clove spiciness. Finsihes with a touch of bitterness and light wheat husk on the way down. Not a bad U.S. brewed saison, but the flavor seems to be a bit muddled overall.

Mouthfeel is on the lighter side, smooth, with mellow carbonation. Goes down easily and still makes its presence known. Would be nice on a hot day, but either way it's still easy to drink. Although this one is not my favorite, it's nice to see RB Warrenville taking a stab at some differnet styles. I'll look forward to whatever comes next.
