Near clear, greenish hued straw color. Good bar pour head that leaves a cross between blanket and web lace.

Mild aroma of a lightly hopped pale ale. Attractive but unremarkable.

This a subtle beer. It starts with a traditional pale taste, like the aroma. Then there's some light cream, Belgian yeast, and a floral hop that lasts long into the aftertaste. Thin bodied and adequately carbonated. There's also a bit of sourness in the aftertaste.

I had this one at the Orland Park RB on 1/10/2009.

A= This ale poured a fairly clear pale golden color with a 1" white head. A Fair amount of carbonation release present. Some decent lacing down the glass.

S= Malty sweetness combined with a pinch of yeasty Belgian funk. A slight note of citrus and phenolic-medicinal as well. Definite alcohol aromas present too.

T= Lots of pale malt/bakery sweetness and adjunct sugar up front with a nice spicy alcohol and yeast funk pop to level that sweetness off a bit. Nice dry finish.

MF= Lighter side of medium body. Carbonation provides crisp clean feel.

D= This is one of the best Belgian ales to come out of brewer Iain Wilson's brewhouse to date! Very enjoyable and dangerously drinkable.

Had this when visiting with Da Boss Saturday afternoon...solid beer, dangerously drinkable. Belgian PA yeast strain used imparts typical esters found in BPA brews - try it if you are in the RB house!
