A: golden like the name, decent head but large carbonation bubbles
S: lager yeast, bready malt, earthy hop aroma
T: crisp biscuit and more lager yeast up front, nice earth and slight noble hop bitterness.
M: thicker and oilier than an adjunct, it holds flavor for quite a while. Large carbonation is apparent but not distracting.
O: very drinkable and balanced lager; good for the style and great for the price.

I had this beer on-tap in a half-liter pint glass at the Seattle brewery.

Appearance: crystal clear golden body with a light effervescence and a finger of frothy white foam atop. Not bad at all.

Smell: lightly sweet malt aroma; not overly complex, but enticing.

Taste: sweet malt with a light graininess and an overall very smooth flavor. I like it.

Mouthfeel: medium light body with a good carbonation and a surprisingly satisfying creaminess.

Overall: a very refreshing and quaffable lager. I dig it.

Crackers, Grassy, Herbal, Spice

Perhaps the cleanest beer we’ve had the pleasure of quaffing back. Balance is perfect for the style, a bit of body up front but all leads to a drier finish. Big crispness to start, ample hoppy bitterness and herbal flavor to back everything up brings forth a bigger drinkability. Gordon Biersch is easy one the palate when it comes to full on appreciation of lagers.
