Notes / Commercial Description:
Czech Pilsner is a crisp, golden, highly hopped lager. This style beer was first brewed in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia in 1842 using a sample of special yeast smuggled from Germany by a Czech monk. Until this time all beers were dark and cloudy. The new Czech Pilsner was the first beer to be brewed clear and golden.

On tap (had numerous times):
Pours dark golden, with a fairly decently sustaining head. Nose is bready malts and noble hops, maybe a very slight metallic note thrown in.

Taste starts a little crisp, light graininess, but the hops come on nicely and fairly early. Hops are a bit woody, tending a bit towards pine. The after taste has a weird sweetness to it, but this is also where I get another hint of metal. The feel is light bodied, with an average amount of carbonation to add some energy to the beer.

This as been my favorite standard beer at GB for a while. I enjoy the style in general and this one seems like a fair/average representation.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear light straw colored body.
The aroma is metallic dry grain, good.
The taste has that nice dry lemon bitterness with just a touch of malt sweetness in the middle. Finishes with a sharp bitter note.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Great profile and balance.
