We stayed at the Monte Carlo for 3 nights and went to The Pub with a group of 10 or so. I'm thinking there's something wrong with their tap system as everything was either very flat or tasted a off. I've been drinking Firestone DBA for years so I know it very well. The one I had here just tasted weird. Also had Sin City amber and some kind of red and they were both flat. Serving craft beer in plastic cups probably doesn't help but there's something wrong with their system.

Beyond the beer its a good place. Good selection and service was solid.

Much better than Tap Sport bar and MGM, Burger Bar and Pub 1842 also at MGM. If you're staying on the south end of the strip this is probably the best. The tap list is much larger than the others mentioned. You may struggle with the lack of stellar brews at any of these, but The Pub, by virtue of the longer list won me over. At least there's more to choose from and I found some decent ones here. Service was great here and the bar tender knew his beer. Yard house at Link has a very long tap list and you might fare better there, but these three are the best on the south end and The Pub is quite decent. Get to Aces and Ales though if you can, its a trip but worth it.

Service was pretty good. Beer selection seemed quite large but it was mostly large selections of a handful of breweries. It was quite pricey but as many have said on here, everything is pricey in Vegas.

The Pub has a niice atmosphere, including a really cool keg setup behind the bar and a beer locker. Great beer selection, including their own Pale Ale brewed locally. Happy Hour prices were pretty good. OK service. Definitely worth a stop if you are at or near the Monte Carlo.

I've been going to the Pub for many years (even back to the days when they brewed their own stuff). They have a wide variety of beers on tap, but they don't do a whole lot of seasonal rotation, so the list tends to stay pretty much the same. Prices are a tad high (its Vegas, so maybe it is to be expected), but 3-6 happy hour on weekdays does make it more reasonable. I prefer Yard House if I'm looking for a multitap place to spend some time

I visited The Pub a few times on my recent trip to Vegas, having stayed at the Monte Carlo. It's definitely the kind of place to go on vacation, and perhaps not a regular spot, based solely on cost -- though on the strip, that's to be expected.

The atmosphere is beer-centric, dark wood and a bit like a chain pub. Not at all bad, it definitely made me want to drink beer. The beer selection is huge, which is great, and there are even some local Nevada craft choices -- maybe not exotic, but it's nice to sample the local flavor. One thing I enjoyed is that they will serve anything that's on draft in a liter -- a truly civilized pour.

Service varied dramatically over the few visits I was there. Mostly the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, but when it gets busy the service can get extremely slow.

The Pub may single handedly make me stay at the Monte Carlo next time in Vegas. The beer selection at this place is legendary. Hundreds of beers are available at The Pub and they make an alright burger as well. The food is overpriced, but hey it's Vegas right?

I was there at lunchtime during the week so their wasn't much going on entertainment-wise but there are over 30 flat screens there, always on sports. There is also a stage/area designated for live entertainment.

The restaurant opens up to the pool area so you can jockey back and forth with ease. If you get the chance, I highly recommend you visit The Pub.

Best overall selection of beers I found on the Strip. Lots of tvs all over the place, with the highlight being the hug screen in the back of the place. Together this made for a nice spot to watch playoff football. Quality of the beer list was good, though great by Strip standards. Service was weak, everytime I needed someone the waitress was never there, whenever I had no need they randomly showed up. The food was generic pub/bar food, I did not care for it at all. Place was expensive, but expected to be given its location.

For the Strip, this place has an excellent selection of craft beer. I had a Sculpin from Ballast Point as well as Jaipur from Thornbridge. I frankly wished I had found this place a little earlier in my trip. The Scuplin as $8 which, again for the Strip, wasn't unreasonable. We did not care for the food, however. My flatbread pizza was undercooked as was the shepherd's pie my husband ordered. I would go back, but only for the beer.

I love the selection. The drifter pale is excellent. Service is horrible. Does not matter if you tip a lot or not. I have been coming to the pub for over 10 years: nothing you do changes the service.

Beer is very expensive and food very lacking. But I come for the beer. Could be great place.

I went here after a suggestion of the bartender at Pour 24 in the NY NY casino.

The bartender said they apparently had 180 taps. Pretty sweet. The tap list had a good amount of macro junk, but they did have a nice book of tap and bottles available. I was also informed about the reserve list as well. There are some nice bottles like Firestone Walker 15 and Sucaba, but at 32 for Sucaba and 60 for 15; I wasnt about to throw down for those.

The tap and bottle list was laid out nicely across styes for Amber, IPA, Belgian, Pale Ale and the like. Most Belgian drafts were not even close to being considered at 15 for a draft pour; but the US Belgians and other moderate gravity pours for the style were ok at about 7-8 bucks a pint. I had some Ommegang Abbey, Firestone DBA, and New Belgium Ranger. All were of good quality and no obvious high age. Turnover rate should be pretty good considering the location and popularity of the casino.

As far as atmosphere it was pretty good. No obscene loud music with the Olympics playing on the TV. Pretty pleasant for a Sunday night.

Overall I would say that this was pretty worthy bar for Vegas. Thy had a lot of good selections on draft and I had enjoyed myself. A very worthy stop for sure in you are in the Monte Carlo casino.

A - A very standard pub feel... Very long bar with lots and lots of taps displayed... Lots of wood throughout...

Q - Definitely a quality establishment... A nice place to stop while in Las Vegas...

Ser - Average at best... Stopped twice on a recent trip sitting once at the bar (where the service was above average) and once at a table during a slow lunch hour (and the serve was average at best)...

Sel - 120 brews on tap and another good number in bottles... Can't much argue with that, though there wasn't anything that really wowed be on the beer list either... Also some sample options and beer float options...

F - Flat bread pizza (Organic Meatball) and onion rings were money... Best meal we had on our recent trip to Vegas (including several stops at quality restaurants)... Very well done...

V - As is the case with most places in Vegas this establishment is a tad bit pricey overall, but average when compared to similar establishments on the strip...

Thanks to BA'ers for pointing this place out.

A - Plenty of sports on the flatscreens, obvious cool craft beer vibe with all the taps. I checked it out on a Sunday night and it was kinda dead. Overall not bad, and you can have a conversation and not yell over music.

Q - Server seemed knowledgeable. Pours were all perfect. In fact the Moose Drool I had on tap had a phenomenal head. It is a restaurant first, but one that does a solid job with beer.

S - Server was attentive, and even followed up when the bartender got backed up filling pints.

Sel - I loved it. Tons of stuff I can't get in NY. The hard part was making up my mind. Menu was organized (something many places screw up). I could find my gems easily, and all were there to try.

F - Decent. Quality food but it is a hybrid of upscale bar food/simple cuisine. I was full and like the sliders I ordered. My wife was equally happy.

V - Even me who lives in the pricey New York City area found it a bit crazy. I didn't mind because I got my fix of great craft, but the bill was heavy (2 burger plates, 3 beers, 1 soft drink = $60) Just be prepared.

I'd go here again, even just for the novelty of trying stuff that is west coast only. Its Vegas; if the bartender doesn't get my cash the dealer will.

Updated 4/3/14 - third time stopping in

Overall, the bar is much unchanged visually - same decor, same bar, etc. the beer list is organized a bit better than the last visit. No typos I could see except a few beers listed under incorrect styles. The menu is still a bit confusing - I like to see draft and bottle seperated out - here they are combined. The "limited reserve" list was all marked as out of stock except for DFH beers. The Squatters I mentioned below is down to 32 - it seems the "limited reserve" list has came down to reasonable bar prices (if they were in stock). The only thing I had to get was an Olde School barleywine for $12- seemed like the only "bargain" to be had. Draft list is still large but dominated by BMC beers. The service was much better. With the exception of food(didn't have any) I'd give it a 3.5 in all other categories this time around.

Original post:
Stopped by here on a recent visit to Vegas. After being somewhat let down by the burger bar at mandalay bay, figured id give this place a shot.

Was here 4 years ago when it was still the microbrewery. Looks a lot the same.

Had some wings to snack on that were so so. I remember the food being better when I was here a few years back.

Service was obnoxiously slow when I arrived, but the servers switched out and things improved a little.

A somewhat treasurous listing of beers at first glance. Most are nothing too exciting or hard to find, with lots of BMC variaties. First pint was a Squatters Hop Rising. Tasted ok, but like it had baked in the hot sun for week or two before being tapped. I would like to try this beer fresh. Fellow BA shared the same feelings about freshness of thier IPA/DIPA. I noticed several typos and duplicates on their beer menu., and found one out by accident. Met a fellow BA here flying solo too, so I ordered us a bottle of Squatters Outter Darkness to share. Bill came and was charged $40 instead of the listed $16. WOW!!! They had it listed in two places with WAY different prices. A quick word with the bartend and he had his manager take care of it. Fyi i looked at their menu online today and it's still F'd up.

Overall, just above average, and one of the few places on the strip to get a non-BMC. Watch the prices as they can get a little crazy (reference the $40 Outter Darkness and just about anything on their big bottle list). This place seems to still struggle to find it's identity. It's like someone half assing what could potentially be a way better place - kind of a shame actually.
