Fantastic dark and milk chocolate mouthfuls of frothy, clean, balanced porter. Super delicious if you like big sweet rich full chocolate chased by the lightest, neatest porter at 5.7%. No lactose yet decadent and malt-chocolately. Fantastic feel and balance with lively, nimble, restrained carbonation. Just a genius beer. Fantastic with whipped cream maple chocolate chip pancakes in the am as with some double chocolate velvet fudge mousse cake at night. Yum!

December 13th, 2015 - I am glad to see they're still serving beer at Beaujo's Pizza in mason jars, but it doesn't do much for sampling and reviewing a beer. But even so, the aroma is clear with cocoa butter and the sweet and ocean flavor of coconut shrimp. This appears in the flavor too, served on a medium-thin body, and a short aftertaste. This makes it easy to drink, and a nice palate of flavors compared to the pizza before me.

Dark muddy brown with a light tan frothy blanket.
Dry baker's cocoa is there right up front on the nose, with some roasted malt following shortly after, and even some astringent hopping.
Taste is tangy with a little hop sting at first, but it sweetens up quickly and brings in that cocoa and roasted malt and maybe a hint of orange peel and honey, with a little raisin.
Finish is fairly dry.

This is a decent east drinking light porter perfect for when you don't feel II've drinking a heavy hitter. I believe that all of these people rating this so low had unrealistic expectations about what this beer is supposed to be. It's not great by any means but decent enough to enjoy.
