Pours hazy, dark brown with tints of orange, and 1/4 inch head. Taste is pumpkin pulp, cinnamon, clove, and light nutmeg. Above average for the style, but very traditional. I will get this again because I like the brewery, but otherwise would not seek this out.

Look: Pours a deep, cloudy amber.
Aroma: Spices up front on the nose; cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.
Taste: Not too pumpkiny - which is generally favorable - spices aren't as powerful as the aroma.
Feel: Light-medium bodied. Medium carbonation..
Overall: This wasn't an overly powerful fall beer which makes it easier to have more than one. At the same time, it's rather bland. Not a lot happening but not bad.

Pours a thin, watery cola brown producing a short finger of beige, foamy, shortlived head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is bread crust, molasses, vegetable pumpkin, floral & slight spice. Taste is thin but bready with notes of molasses, weak pumpkin & spice. There is something that is slightly reminiscent of a flat "Dr. Pepper". Finishes with more spice & prickle. Afrertaste is malty caramel & molasses with a vegetable hint. Mouthfeel is light-moderate but thin with moderate carbonation, watery, lightly prickly & dry.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is full of pumpkin and molasses. The flavor does not match the aroma. There is a faint pumpkin flavor, nice but I was expecting more. Overall, a very nice pumpkin ale.

had this at the brewery
they put this cinnamon, ginger spice rub on the rim of the glass which makes it hard to review the beer itself
i took home and bottle so i will update my review when i drink it without the rub
pours amber red with a tan head
smell pumpkin sweet and ginger but again that may be the stuff on the rim of the glass
taste sweet pumpkin slight bitter aftertaste
astringent feel
had i known they served it with the rub on the rim of the glass i would have told them to hold off on that
will update when i drink again
update 11.9.15 had this from a 12 oz bottle this weekend without the spices on the rim
its a pretty bland pumpkin ale
poured amber orange with a small off white head that disappeared quickly
somewhat flat looking
smelled of pumpkin only initially but then cinnamon as well as the beer warmed
slight nutmeg also
taste pumpkin slightly sweet
feel dry
overall mehtastic

Picked this up by accident but hey I like pumpkin beers so lets give it a go. The smell was just a muddled mix of spices with nothing jumping out or impressing me with no hint of pumpkin. OK maybe the taste can redeem it... nope there was nothing in the taste except the same muddled chaotic mix of spices with no pumpkin. After searching I still not find the pumpkin. Ugh overall this is not what I would expect from a pumpkin beer and I do not recommend this beer and I will not purchase again. I left the half of my pint glass for the GF who would not take more than one sip.

Served on tap at the taphouse. Had a graham cracker? crusted rim which led me to believe they were trying to hide something....the carbonation was off, really was not appealing. I'm a huge fan of pumpkin beers and usually pretty forgiving but I did not like this one.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a deep amber-reddish-orange mahogany color with a tiny fizzy white head. The head fades rather fast to leave just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of spice smells with a whole lot of coriander, clove, and nutmeg. Other moderately strong aromas of a roasted pumpkin and some cinnamon are there as well, with these mixing with a hint of a vanilla and caramel sweetness, to bring a very pleasant and spiced pumpkin puree smell.

Taste- The taste begins with a roasted pumpkin and bready flavor that has a little bit of caramel sweetness. The spice flavors of coriander, cinnamon, and nutmeg are strong upfront, with these and some clove getting even more potent as the taste advances. All the while, the roasted pumpkin gets a little stronger as some light vanilla flavors join the taste. In the end, molasses and some brown sugar tastes come to the tongue, leaving one with a roasty pumpkin pie flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel-The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side for a pumpkin ale while the carbonation level that is rather low. The lower carbonation is very nice for the roasted pumpkin flavors of the brew, but a little more body would have given a little more chewiness overall. In the end the feel was alright overall.

Overall – A fairly nice “lighter” pumpkin ale. At only 5 % abv. it packs a good deal of flavor, making it a nice pumpkin brew to sip from time to time while watching a good football game.
