Aside from the Triple 7 Brewpub this is a definite spot to hit. The beers were very good as a whole. The dunkelweizen and marzen was there best brews. My wife thought the Hefeweizen was one of the best she has ever had. The food was exceptional. The garlic fries are to die for. Very clean and modern looking place with outside dining area. The waitress we had was very knowledgable about the beers they offered. It is a ways away from the strip. Which we walked and took a taxi back to the hotel. The nice thing about Gordon Biersch is there is no gaming. A nice break from the bright lights.

On the other side of where I was staying, after an atrocious stop at Ellis Island, I figured how could I not give this place a try during one of those "you're on your own" type of lunch dilemmas during a conference.

First thing nice, its not a casino brewpub, there are actually windows in this place! Not dark, drab etc. . . Easy parking, televisions are strategically placed and offer a diverse group of programming. Place isn't packed, but it isn't filled with undesirables either. Quality, you've had Gordon Beirsch before I'm sure, mostly Germanic styles of beers, not doing much of the American renaissance style of craft beer thing going on here, usual selections at a chain brewpub.

They really encourage samples of their beer, I guess the only real disappointment was the lack of choices. Usual stuff on tap that I can find at Safeway. But hey, these guys have some killer garlic fries, take that fat guy sitting next to me at the conference.

If you don't mind the walk from the strip then this is a great stop. Even if you don't like walking, do it. Just stop at Ray's for a roadie and beat it. Plus if you are looking for a brewpub, it beats the heck out of another close by. My server was great and he gave me samples to taste as well. Nice look with the tanks and brewhouse. Selection was great. Had a pizza but it could have used a little more colour. Beer was great. Had a Fest first. Very pleasing although a little dry. Some dextrin malt would have fixed it up nicely. Lovely lingering hop flavour and great colour. Hefeweizen was next and that was great although their pronunciation notes were off. Bubble gum, banana, and slight clove tastes, reminded me of another beer I had with White labs Hefeweizen yeast... COlour was nice and proper glassware was used. Ordered the Amber which is their most popular... I must have got a bad batch cause mine tasted like a tin can. Overly metallic and undrinkable. My server replaced it with a Pilsener without any issues. That was another great beer although it had a great hop flavour and perfect straw colour, I think it actually had too much flavour compared to other pilseners. Still it is worth a shout as it was pleasing. I would definitely head back there and happily drink a few more pints... if only they would drop the price a tad.

Came in for dinner and beers with some business associates. The decor was modern, open and high quality. The beer was as expected--high quality, but unexciting. As always, this location concentrated on German styles with no real distinctive characteristics. I tried the Bohemian Pilsner and Marzen. They were both well executed but seemed to follow a middle-of-the-road, take no chances philosophy.

The food was definitely the high point. They gave generous quantities from a tasty, eclectic menu. The service started off well, but our waiter seemed to lose interest and left us alone too much. he could have sold several more beers by being more attentive. The prices were reasonable, especially for a place just a block or two off the Strip.

As I approached, I could not help but be struck by the back-lit bank of FVs that ran along Paradise Road. They just screamed "immense". The entry was on the opposite side if the building, through their parking lot. Entering, the m.d.s. was to the immediate left and was chock full of logo items. Once inside, the square, marble-topped bar sat directly in the center of the space. The bar area was surrounded by an eclectic mix of booths, high tables and chairs, long tables, and standard restaurant tables and chairs. It was a case of something for everyone, including a seat at the bar for me. The far right wall, nearest the road, had the immense kitchen off the the left and also fronted an outdoor patio area. The far left wall, nearest the parking lot, featured the immense brewhouse, behind glass. Billy was my excellent server.

Did I mention my now-ravening hunger? Between bad beer and not wanting to consume large quantities of food while riding Greyhound, I was ready to eat road kill goat anus. Fortunately, that evening's Specials included Seafood Stuffed Chicken Breast, which was a much better alternative. Soapbox Time: Again, pooh-pooh the chains all you like, but I will continue to champion their cause. I was really glad that I held out for their food since it was neither disappointing nor overwhelming and especially since I had actually considered Prime Rib elsewhere for a moment. If happiness for me comes in the form of a chain brewpub, who are you to disagree? Further, my dear Aunt Kathy loves her G.B. in Washington, DC and any time that I can get her to come out and indulge with me, it's a double-plus bonus.

Beers: There was nothing overwhelming, but even a hophead has to surface for air once in a while, kind of like eating ... salmon. Golden Export - 5.0; Hefeweizen - 5.5; Martzen - 5.7; Schwartzbier - 4.29; Blonde Bock - 7.0; and the seasonal Sommerfest Kolsch - 5.3. The latter was my pick.

I stopped here for a breather on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of room at the bar for our party of 4. It was a decent day, so we headed outside to relax on the patio, plus one in our group wanted to have a smoke, indoors is non-smoking.

They had 6 offerings, the five standards and a seasonal. I can't remember what the seasonal was, sorry, it wasn't anything I was terribly interested in. I had the Schwarzbier, it was a bit too watery and flat, so I switched to the Hefeweizen. It was much better, lots of fruit hints and poured cloudy with a decent head.

I didn't try the food, but it did seem like more people were there for the food, then the beer. Beers were $4 each, not exactly cheap, but not overpriced either. I would call it a place to lay low and 'escape' from Vegas for a minute if you need to. Nothing exceptional to draw me back, but nothing to prevent me from returning in the future either. If I ever visit again I will come for dinner, and try the food.

The restaurant has a open airy feeling about it. Dark warehouse type with a long open kitchen you can see from just about anywhere in the place. Plenty of large glass windows and a nice patio that is usually packed during warmer times of the year. Large square bar is packed with a younger crowd. The restaurant section was also filled and several tables seemed to be after work parties. Private room in the back was filled with a party too.

On tap were Dunkels, Marzen, Hefe, and Golden Export and the special was the Winterhook. The beers were of good quality and the Winterhook was quite tasty.

The food was reasonably priced and all our appetizers and meals were enjoyed. Service was quick and friendly despite the crowds. Waitress seemed to understand the beer styles.

I've been to several GB's across the country and this is my favorite one. I tend to visit this place once a year during my frequent Vegas trips, as more of my brewpub time is focused on Chicago and Big Dog's.

Had a couple of drinks and appetizers here last weekend as part of a mini-crawl on a nice Saturday.

Very typical of the chain, big open architecture with lots of wood and metal, somewhat industrial in feel- not really my cup of tea, but it's OK I guess.

Five brews on tap right now- three regulars and 2 brewmasters specials. I focused on the Oktoberfest, as it's the right time of year. Pretty good, superior to their marzen, quite enjoyable, but not overwhelming.

Food is quite good- really the best reason to go.

Overall, not a bad spot, I enjoy going here, but I'd rather go to some other spots, like Hofbrauhaus, a half mile down the road.

I came to Vegas and didn't stay on the strip (I stayed at a hotel right next door). I have never been to one of these, but heard it was a chain of some sort.

Lots of tables and very open to have a conversation (business) or at the large bar area (pleasure).

Food was good. Not great, but a little better than the typical pub fare. Our service was expected - nill. Being in Vegas, everyone was very laid back and forgot a lot of our own order. Took forever to get drinks and food was all messed up. Maybe it was our server, but it looked like this all over.

Probably not going to go back again, maybe another brewery, but not this one.

I was staying off the Vegas strip on a recent visit to the city and found this brewpub just up the street from my hotel. The restaurant is a nice change of pace from the busy casinos. For instance, it has its own free parking lot and plenty of windows.

The pub has a rectangular bar in the middle with restaurant seating all around it. TV's are visible from every angle so you can watch a game from where ever you sit.

For dinner the waitress brings a half loaf of bread to your table for all to enjoy. I had their chicken and basil pasta dish which was excellent. My wife got a burger with fries that was huge and delicious. We didn't get an appetizer or dessert.

We only tried a couple of beers on our visit. I had their Maibock and my wife had the hefeweizen. Both were served in the proper glassware and were very tasty.

My only regret with Gorden Biersch is that I wish they had a larger selection of food and beer. There were only 5 or 6 beers on tap and the menu seemed rather limited in what they offered. They do have a full bar if you or someone you are with do not want a beer.

Overall I found the quality of the food and beer to be excellent. The service, price and atmosphere were good, but I wish they offered a wider selection of products.

After a rather sensible start to the day, a “few” beers at the Hofbräuhaus with BA’s UncleJimbo, DukeofEarl & his friend Ozzie, things were starting to swing into action. Several Litres of HB Original, Dunkel & Weiss, plus singing, table thumping & lots of German Oooompah had us all in a rather silly mood. At 5pm though we wisely left the Hofbräuhaus & whilst DukeofEarl took advantage of Ozzie’s motorized perambulation device, UncleJimbo & I elected to take Shanks’ Pony the short-ish 10 minute walk straight up Paradise Road to the Gordon Biersch…..we just didn’t care…cock-sure we walked up Paradise with our heads held high proudly displaying our newly purchased München Oktoberfest Keg Hats complete with taps…soon compliments & giggles from passers-by were followed by the debacle of seeing traffic slow and literally come to a halt to give us the traditional Vegas “Whhhooooaaahhhooo” hanging out of the Car window salute; all this had UncleJimbo & I pumped before we even set foot near Gordon Biersch.

The brick building has a GB steel awning at the front, whilst around the side, yet again another large steel grain silo sits near the side doors. Lots of glass draped in striped black & yellow awnings to protect interior imbibers from the searing Vegas heat, though we had none of that during our visit, all combine to let you know for sure that it’s another GB Brewpub. Lots of black, silver, steel, brick and glass, the trademark GB feel greats the imbiber as you enter. Rain meant that not one person was sat outside on the veranda; everyone was inside in the warm at the many tables & chairs located on several elevations in a rather crowded yet jovial bar.

DukeofEarl & Ozzie beat us here, but Jimbo’s super cool “look at my new Keg Hat” entrance was a sight to behold. I had to personally grapple with, and take the names & addresses of, all the hot chicks who wanted to play with his “bit of wood’ just to allow him free passage to locate our early arriving drinking partners. Soon we were all reunited at a circular high table that served us well.

I started with a GB Dunkelweiss which was served in a rather cool looking highball logo Glass. I had barely had chance to discuss how decent I thought the brew was when our server Veronica arrived & asked if wanted to order food. The earlier Teutonic alcohol was starting to take effect so we decided to get fancy schmancy GB appetizer...What was it again?...some meat thingy..Anyways I recall that the tableware was quite striking, black and dark yellow striped plates. At this point I decided to subject Veronica to some mild hassle & a chorus of Elvis Costello’s classic song…what was it called again?….anyways, it didn’t work. More beer followed, Dunkles and a Hefeweizen, both OK brews.

At some point….a gentleman mysteriously appeared next to me, clad in a denim shirt with GB logo…Oh, oh, is this the Manager me thinks?…and would we asked to leave? Had Jimbo excited too many Chicks with the ‘bit of wood’ on his head? Or had I made Veronica pass-out with my stunning singing talents?? Nope it was the Brewer introducing himself, a friendly dude who was extremely welcoming and courteous…wow, a nice touch that!…I forget how he spied us and why exactly how he knew we were beery geeks…maybe it was the Hats?....LOL….but he gave us a low down on the range of beers & the history of the LV GB. I recall he was rather proud of the fact that the Brewery Equipment was imported from Germany, informing us that newer & more recent GB’s were installing “cheaper Canadian Kit” thanks to the strength of the Euro. All in a jolly nice chap who left Jimbo & I with some free beer tickets. Knowing Jimbo’s propensity to induce mass swoons from the Girlies I told him to stay put whilst I went & collected said free gratis brews, I opted for the Märzen which allowed me to get to the front of the line of local Football Players that were all waiting for their free brews…but GB Light…huh WTF?

Yes, it’s a chain.
Yes, it’s a Gordon Biersch.
But the LV location has a little something extra that makes it worthy of a visit; the Veranda alone looks like a cool place to hang in hotter times or at Sunset.

But the Moral of the Story….is that Men with Big Silly Hats and crappy Elvis Costello impersonations never pull chicks…but they do get to meet the Brewer and have some free beers once in a while though….

Not you’re usual Gordon Biersch, nothing outstanding either, but a decent place to grab a few beers and a quality appetizer that had excellent service. If you have been to a GB before you’ll know what to expect…but I actually quite enjoyed this location, its one of the better GB’s that I have been to. Worth trying out and it makes a nice “double header” with the nearby walking distance Hofbräuhaus which is only a couple of blocks away.

I stopped here during a recent visit to Sin City. This is an attractive space. Lots of light due to the very high vaulted ceilings. There are a few different levels that add visual interest and make the place seem a little more intimate. I noticed some private rooms for large gatherings and/or meetings.

The brewing equipment is on display. It sits in a large glassed in area. Unfortunately, the brewer was not working when I was there.

The service was fast and efficient, but once the food came, they did not hover over us. I like that they let you enjoy your food at your leisure and don’t rush to turn over the table.

The beer selection was a bit limited. I’m not sure why these Gordon Biersch breweries don’t offer a bigger selection of beers. I had the blond Bock and it was fine if a bit uninspired.

There was a nice crowd that contributed to the atmosphere. I like when a place has that busy buzz of conversation.

The food was not bad. The Chili was really good.

This is worth a stop if you find your self in this part of Vegas.

i had stopped in this place after going to the mote carlo brew pub and was pleasantly suppressed the bartender was hot and very attentive.she also knew a lot about the beer she was serving. the beers were average nothing out standing, I ordered the wheat as norm for me and then inquired about the other styles they serve and without even asking she gave me a sample of each style and didn't complain when i didn't order anymore beer. The garlic fries were very tasty as was the burger.all and all not a bad place.

I don't think you can make a more average brewpub than this place. I go in with my wife and the female bartender has this attitude like I am interested in trying to "pick her up" in the middle of the afternoon. I had a burger with some garlicky fries which were highly recommended and they were average at best (both the burger and fries) . I tried the 4 or 5 different beers and they all had a sameness to them even though they were different styles. I like Main Street Station and Monte Carlo brewery MUCH better than this place. I would probably not go back.

Recently did a work stint in Vegas. Days of conferences, nights of beer hunt. Me, running the streets of vegas, howling, deranged, nose in the air, fresh beer, it's close, real close, I can smell it...
Woke up in a corner stool, barside, apparently muttering something about "a sampler". My eyes refocus, sounds abound, I'm who I pretend to be again. I'm in a large room sitting at a rectangular bar with seating for about 30 and roughly a dozen and a half bar tables littered throughout. There are dining areas on 3 sides, the one to the rear being separated by a large glass wall. Additional seating on an outside deck, pleasant for the climate on this and probably every other night. It's a spacious room, brick walls and large glass windows, modern, but with a marble bar, wood trim and retro tile floors. A large glass walled front room with mashers and a rear room with visible fermenters, an open front kitchen where you can see your food being made, a high exposed ceiling with fans and track lighting, a large jazz brewery mural and 9 TV's above the bar and in corners here and there.
Ah, yes, sampler. I'm looking at 6 small glasses, probably 4 ouncers, and they're filled maybe half way, maybe. And I'm a little taken aback because, well, you know, I'm payin' to play here, try filling the glasses, Mo. 6 beers on the sampler, 5 regulars and a seasonal. The Marzen was sweetly malty, The Dunkles a dark lager, unfiltered, smooth and malty, the Hefe, also unfiltered, had a nice banana clove flavor, the Vienna was also sweet, the Golden Export nothing to write home about, and the seasonal, the Blonde Bock was pleasant enough, weighing in at 7.0%. I opt for a pint of the Marzen and when I get my tab, I offer up that, "Um, you didn't, uh, charge me for the sampler, yo", to which I'm told, "Samples are free" (thus, the half filled glasses. All right, you're off the hook for the light sample fillings). Service was sharp and attentative, no problems there, and it was a nice place overall. Good standard brewpub.

This Gordon Biersch brewpub is typical of the chain. It is a large place and gets rather crowded at times, making it difficult to walk and belly-up to the bar. The decor seems refined and bit upscale or "white collar", and the lack of video poker is noticeable. Clean, dim, very high ceilings with fans, polished wood, and faux marble. TVs above the bar (sports) and alternative and pop music on the sound system. Not smokey. The food is good with some trendy items (e.g., spicy Ahi spring rolls were very tasty). Good attentive service from the bartenders, and free samples of the beer given cheerfully.

The beers are decent, though in my opinion, they are a bit "dumbed down" for the masses. The selection of microbrews is decent, with 6 to choose from (5 regulars and a special). Of the regular beers, I liked the Dunkles or the Hefeweizen best.

This is not one of my favorite brewpubs in Las Vegas, but it is OK, and it is relatively close to the Strip, and is only a few blocks north from the newly opened Hofbräuhaus.
