UPDATE: New management, new growler station (about 5-6 kegs on at a time), and future homebrew shop. This place has turned around 180 degrees

Service is much better than in the past, the new "beer guy" is awesome, loves beer, and shoots the shit here and there

Selection/Quality: Good selection for the area, a few rarities come in here and there - but it looks like it is going uphill fast. Solid growler offerings as well. Quality can be iffy (a few old IPAs and such, but once this place gets rolling it should have a higher turnover)

If you like beer and you are in Clemson, this is the only place that you will be satisfied. All of the bars (except for Nick's T&D) have virtually no craft beer, dont wast your time!!

A neat place that has come a long way since it opened. The selection grew. They do pints in store now.

Best beer shop in Clemson, super friendly employees happy to help with any question. All inventory is available on shelfs, nothing stocked in the back... if they have it, you see it. Have given me discounts on bottles that I was on the fence about buying, just so that i would buy a beer that they wanted me to try and thought I would enjoy. Honest opinions, they won't peddle you subpar product telling you how good it is. Genuine people who care.

They had a good selection for what looked to be a strip mall beer store next to a gas station. Picked up some Westbrook, and the evil twin recently brewed with Westbrook.

Good amount of local and some Maine brewing too.

The main thing was they had a good few handles that the guy working was willing to let me try if there was something they had in bottles and keg, which was awesome.

The guy helping was super helpful. Greeted me early, asked if he could help, what styles I liked, and when I asked about local stuff he pointed them all out, and showed me where stuff was that was in coolers in case I wanted to drink soon.

On hence way out he shook my hand and was very helpful. Top guy

Noticed there weren't any recent reviews so I thought I'd add my bit now.

I moved to the area recently and was happy to find this place right on my doorstep. They have a good selection of beer and have basically ever large release. If you're looking for a limited release, you might not find it here. I only talked to one guy there who seemed pretty young but was knowledgeable enough.

They recently installed a 20 tap growler fill station which I think is the thing to be most excited about. However, I noticed they don't use the tubes that go down into your growler to fill it from the bottom up. I had my beer the same day of and I couldn't tell any il effect, so I'm really not sure how they are at filling growlers - but they JUST installed the system so whatever.

Overall I'm pretty excited about this place. Their prices were pretty reasonable and you can buy beer buy the bottle. Here are my highlights:

My only suggestion for them would be to add a bit to the local selection. They have some highland, westbrook, RJ Rockers and a couple others but there are some beers from georgia and the coast that they could probably carry.

As a student living in Clemson, craft beer is hard to come by. Thankfully I recently discovered Tiger Qwik and the Wall of Beer! They have a great selection and keep on top of all the new seasonals and specialty releases. If you ask for a beer they do not have, they can usually get it. They do growler fills and as said before, will let you taste before. The staff is knowledgable of the beers they sell and are willing to offer suggestions. If you are in Clemson, check this place out! They are a little pricy, but for the selection and the fact that everything is priced by the bottle it is totally worth it. If you do a pick 6 they will give you a bit of a discount which keeps you coming in.

This is the best beer selection in Clemson. It's generally more expensive for the beers you can get in the grocery stores, but you can't beat the variety. Staff is always very nice and helpful. Let you taste before you have your growler filled. Some of the more exotic beers do sit on the shelves longer but that's to be expected because I can't imagine there's too big a market for them in a college town. Overall a great value and a great place to get recommendations for new brews to try, just avoid buying party beers from here, that's not what they're about.

Great place. I'm a Clemson student myself, so I've been frequenting this place for some time now. The main perk of this place is the people. The majority of the staff is very knowledgable about beer. Atmosphere leaves a little to be desired, and it's slightly more money than other shops I've been to, but it's a solid beer store. They have a wide selection from American craft stuff, to quality Belgian brews, to seasonals and ciders. They've just started filling growlers and they manage to get some nice, rare beers, so that's pretty awesome. I'll come back when I visit for football games!

TL;DR: I love the folks here, but it is a bit expensive. Depends on who you get for the service- the only growler service in town. Haven't had experience for ordering- I usually order bourbon through Scrooge's in Anderson is excellent for liquor and wine. I recommend them for the growler and unusual beer availability in an otherwise unassuming college town. In any other town, I would say, support them to encourage good beer and patronage, but most good beer people in Clemson are poor college people, so the business struggles. Meanwhile, they fight the good fight, and their growler business is attempting to bring keg-only delights to the upstate.I'll

I stopped by this small time mom and pop store to grab some beer at the last minute. Wow! The guy who greeted me as soon as I stepped foot in the place was all about this store. The Doors were on the radio and the place was filled with a shit ton of beer. Hell yeah! Who would have thought this tiny little place would have such a selection
I made a few mix 6 packs that were part never tried, my favs and some clerk recs.
There was one beer that I was looking for and they did not carry but the guy working (Beer Gloves) ordered it to keep on the shelves. Only took him two days to get it in. Anybody who is in the area needs to stop by this place and ask for the guy AKA Beer gloves. No snootiness only real straight kindness with respect.

this is a spot i frequented for craft beer in college. the atmosphere... what atmosphere. its basically just a plywood floor with empty shelves in the middle of a huge area. in the back is the wall of beer. you could never miss this. it's basically the only thing in the entire place. anyway there really is 0 atmosphere. the quality is kinda sketchy. ive bought ipas in here that tasted closer to barleywine. there is zero service. the selection is why one would come to such a place. it is the best within 30 miles. it's also kinda pricey.

Before the recent blossoming of interest and availability of craft beers, this unassuming convenience store carried a stunning array of macro- and micro-brews. Their selection has increased in both variety and quantity, and the store now allows the purchase of almost any beer as a single. The pricing on singles usually is a reasonable increment over the 6-pack pricing, but pricing on 6 packs mostly runs a little higher than the average large beer retailer.

This is a college town and I'm sure this store sells lots of beer. I have yet to purchase an over-the-hill beer here. Nonetheless, age could be an issue with some of the more exotic or expensive beers, but they are somewhat careful about their stock.

Beers in stock include regional (e.g., Highland; Sweetwater; Westbrook) and national (e.g., Bells; Avery; Harpoon; Sea Dog; Shipyard; Rogue; Thirsty Dog) micros, as well as an impressive variety of imports, mostly European in various sized single bottles.

Following some 2012 renovations, the store itself is much less rundown and uninviting. The staff are friendly and helpful, but not all are beer experts. They are willing to order beers.

Best selection in Clemson/Pendleton/Seneca area, but it is not a long drive from here to Scrouge's (Anderson) where the selection and prices are better.

UPDATED Feb. & Sept. 2012/ March 2013: prices seem to have risen a bit relative to others in the region; now sell and fill growlers (about 7 taps). Growler prices are reasonable and the selections are nicely varied with at least one beer on tap, usually, that you wouldn't expect to find -- e.g., New Belgium/Alpine IPA; New Holland Night Tripper).

June 2013 update: new cooler with 20 taps for growler fills. Some rare beers hit these taps.

Tiger Qwik Mart boasts the best selection of beer in the area. That's the most important thing for you to know. TQM sits in an orange-awninged strip of shops on the road to Old Pendelton from Clemson. It's unassuming enough from the outside, but then you notice that this Moon Pie and boiled peanut purveyor proudly places Chimay and Left Hand stickers on the front window alongside the Skoal, Newport, and Bud Light signage. There is a fine amount of beer stored in a row of coolers in the middle of the store, labeled for individual purchase or by the 4/6 pack. The back wall, or WALL OF BEER as it is described by the 'Mart, is full of a good variety of US microbrews, and top imports. It's a rare place where one finds a Nogne O bottle alongside Cobra Malt Liquor. This is that place.

Passed by here this weekend while visiting a friend in Clemson and saw a big sign that said "Wall of Beer". For a place that looked like a convenient store on the outside this was quite intriguing. It was very easy to spot from the road with a Clemson orange awning lining the front with big white letters with it's name printed. Pulled into the parking lot and entered the store. Upon turning to my right I noticed a sign that said "Wall of Beer" again and immediately made my way to it. What I found was not BMC, but quite a nice selection of 4/6 packs, and individuals. Everything from smaller micros and Belgians. I was quite impressed. Another thing I liked is that all of the bottles in the packs were individually priced so you could be singles if you so choose. Out of all the places I have visited in Clemson for beer, this one by far had the best selection of them all. If you find yourself in Clemson and craving a craft beer this is your place to go buy a bottle or two without a doubt.

In the small town of Clemson,SC, Tiger Qwik Mart is an Oasis in a sea of cheap macro brews, where Coors and Bud reign supreme, and where high quality beers are considered snooty. It's as if people are saying, "If it doesn't taste like piss, it's not real beer. America!" That being said, this wonderful location is a welcome breath of fresh air when compared to what is available. Chimay, Duvel, and Three Philosophers are just a few of the names available. Service is M.I.A., but if you know your beers you'll be fine.

Stopped in here during my visit to Seneca, hearing of a "Wall of Beer." There certainly is a wall of beer, but it is unfortunately lacking in Belgians. They don't even stock Chimay. Lots of local brews, which is nice. They run the gamut of brews from Thomas Creek in Greenville, and I picked up several of them during my haul.

It's a dingy little place that looks like it's been there forever. The one employee seemed paranoid that I was going to steal something because of how long I studied the beers before making my selections. He hovered around me like the clerk at the beginning of Menace II Society. When I asked questions, he also seemed quite unknowledgeable as to the beers he was selling.

Neat little place, but I would not go too far out of my way for it.

Stopped in here a few weeks ago as I had to run out to Clemson for an appointment. I figured I would check in and see if the place was worth a look. Now I am used to shopping in Greenville or Asheville, so in that regards I am quite spoiled. I have to admit though if I lived in the area this would not be a terrible stop at all. Decent selection of sixers which seemed to be reasonably priced. I would not be expecting to find the best in the world here, but I have to say it is servicable. Not bad, I would not drive to get there but probably the best you can do in town.

I was eager to check this place out for my beer needs the night I was in town. This area of the state, besides Greenville, is a beer wasteland. It was nice to see this little oasis in this college town.

I wasnt greeted as I entered. The guy working the counter just looked at me weird. All of the beer was to the right, along the wall and in the cooler in the back. A very nice selection of beers. The list is too long but just about anything you would like is here.

Another good thing about this place, and I think every place should do this, is the individual beer bottle price on the bottles and the six pack price on the sic pack sleeve. Very convenient and prominant. I bought a sixer of Thomas Creek and a couple of singles for less than $10. Good prices and great selection for the area.
