Bottle. Light gold. Thin wispy head.
Raspberry definitely. A bit of sulphur. Cereal.
The fruit continues into the taste. Caramel is just there with lemon. A bitter completion.
Medium body.
OK for a hot summer's day.

Bottled
Pours a light brown body with rouge hue
Really big raspberry aroma, there is a little lemon, perhaps it's the same but it's way back
Bit then the flavour isn't much
Something like grolsch with a touch of cordial

From a 500ml bottle.
Pours clear, amber, no carbonation, small head that reduces quickly to nothing.
Smell is dominated by sharp, fruity raspberries. Perfectly appropriate for a fruit beer!
Taste is where the ale kicks in. There's a definite wheat and malts flavour. The raspberry retains its sharpness and doesn't overly dominate the Saaz hops. Not too sweet. Soft, mild bitterness.
Smooth mouthfeel. Leaves a coating on the tongue. Next to no carbonation.
This is very nicely constructed beer. It's hopped like a pilsener, malted like a pale ale, touched by wheat and raspberry. Not an overpowering fruity beer at all. Very enjoyable on a warm, humid day like today.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of March 2013 (batch 2844). Picked up a while back from Booths. The label describes it as a blonde ale infused with raspberry flavours - not quite sure what this means in terms of ingredients. However, the appearance doesn't suggest much in the way of real fruit. Saaz hops used for aroma and bittering.
Poured into a straight pint glass. A golden hue with faint haze and medium carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a couple of minutes before subsiding. Some lacing. Aroma of raspberries: fruity, earthy and sweet. Underneath this are subtle hints of grainy malt, stewed hops and yeast, but the fruit dominates. Rather nice, if a tad one-dimensional.
Tastes of raspberries and light malt with a dry, bitter finish. Notes of fruity raspberries, grass, light malt and earthy yeast. Quite sweet, yet with a distinct hoppy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with pleasant carbonation and decent body for the style. Mildly astringent, with an aftertaste of harsh bitterness, artificial undertones and lingering fruity notes. Almost too bitter.
A tasty fruit ale that goes down nicely - would be great on a hot day. The raspberry aroma is pleasant and comes through well, while the ale and hop flavours take a back seat. The only clash is the bitterness at the end, which seems over the top for a fruit brew. As the raspberry flavour seems to have been added artificially, perhaps the bitterness is the result. A decent ale with a slight flaw. Worth sampling if you come across it.
