While attending the Hermann Blues and Brews festival (GREAT time), discovered that the Tin Mill is also a brewpub as the wife and I stopped in for a couple after the festival.
Good ol' country style pub - smallish place with about 8 or 9 tables with the plastic red-checked table cloths on them. Cement walls and open ceiling - but the AC worked well as we were hot as hell from the festival.
Friendly place, we split a table with some friendly locals (bartenders very hospitable too) while enjoying some $3 pints in plastic glasses. Locals were having the Tin Mill beers in tankards ($19 to buy the liter glass with $7 refill, or $16 for ½ liter with $4 refill).
To the left is the hallway to overlook the brewing operations, and at the end is another room with a country store for souvenirs. Bottled beer to go - sixers or mix and match. No food.
Big ol' beer garden out back - but the freakin' 90 degrees kept us indoors. Rest rooms downstairs with the good ol' trough urinals for da boys.

Bartender is hot lol. Very interesting structure....historic mill.
Really authentic brewery using German Purity law of 1515. The Skyscraper is excellent.
Steps away from a gorgeous walk along the Missouri River. You can enjoy more than just good beer here.

My wife an I stopped into this brewpub during a trip to the wonderful little town of Hermann. It is located a few steps off of the main street, in a large building. There is a small bar, and I liked that the brewing equipment was all on disply down a short hallway. The basement beer hall was impressive (especially a large old cask). When we visited, there was a live band in the beer garden, and they had German food from the kitchen. Overall, the atmosphere wasn't exceptional, but rather it was comfortable, and very likable. We didn't sample the food, but the beer on tap was adequate. Not outstanding, but solidly good. We bought some bottles to take home which, unfortunately, were soured and infected. So, mixed results, but we were still glad to have stopped in.

It is not bad little bar that just seems to be at the brewery. Most of the food is snack fare but the pizza is alright. I always seem to end up here when I am in Hermann. The sixers are a bit pricey but beer on tap is not that bad. There is a nice gift shop with almost any breweriana that you could think of. The service is always friendly. However, not always the most knowledgeable. The self guided tours are great and this is a very clean establishment. I have to agree with Vancer the restrooms are great and clean (Maybe that is why I always end up there.) There are not a lot of places to use a public restroom in downtown Hermann.

I stopped in on a Friday afternoon around four. I expected it to be hopping, but it was pretty dead. Employees wandered into the serving area then disappeared leaving customers to fend for themselves. The gentleman who poured my sampler knew nothing about the beer or ingredients other than basic descriptions offered on the placemat. Hrmph.
It was a neat concept to incorporate the old style surroundings, but the bar itself was about two feet too short to stand at, and with no seats one was forced to sit at the tables. Also, please avoid picnic tables with tacky gingham in the future.
I did enjoy the self-guided tour as being a brewer myself I like to snoop at peoples systems. The mash schedule on their dry erase board was interesting, but did explain the overall thinness of the beers I sampled.
As for the beers, there were plenty of styles to choose from, but I simply don't feel that the product produced warranted the hefty price tag of their six-packs.
