This is a very good IPA, being from Iowa, I wish that their were more beers of this quality from my state. This beer poured a nice amber, but with less head then I like to see. (This was due to the bartender pouring out some of the head though.) There was a nice white head on the top of this beer. The aroma was typical of many IPA's. The taste was very flowery with a high emphasis on the hops. A medium bodied beer that is easy to drink.

Presentation: 12 oz brown bottle, on the side is a blurb about the beer and how it is not filtered or pasturized. No freshness date to be found.

Appearance: Copper hued with a mild haze from the yeast. Floating off white cloud for the head!

Smell: Hints of toasted and caramel malt with a little veggie / herbal hop in the nose.

Taste: Great mouthfeel to this medium bodied brew, almost silky smooth. Good malty palate with a marked bitterness ... the extends into a grainy finish and the hops mingle with the fruitiness. More veggie / herbal hops in the finish with the grain.

Notes: A great engilsh pale ale to be had here, could be considered a smaller modern english style IPA ... none the less a very drinkable session ale.

The looks in a glass were stupendous. Copper with a thick beige head that left tremendous lacing. The aroma was little in the way of hops, but more malt with a slightly spicy background. The flavor was more bitter hops with the malt taking a backseat. I thought there was a mild sour flavor that I did not care for however. The mouthfeel was good though-velvet on the tongue with a full flavor. Pretty good english style IPA.

Hoppy aroma with a slight citrus quality and a mild malt backing. Good amber color, clear and a good steady head. Tastey beer. Good mix of hops with sufficient malt backing and a slightly citrus note. Little more malt backing than many. Shorter than average finish that's mildly dry. Very good mouthfeel with fullness without being heavy, or excessive carbonation, and a fine creaminess that makes it extra smooth. Very fine all around beer. Another winner from this brewery.
It seems that the hops may have been cascade or another American one.
