Don't go here to drink beer. If you want a frozen quality pizza for $20 while they warm your soup in a paper cup right in front of you (for dine in) then this is the place. Upper Crust, Kianti's on pacific ave, or Pizza My Heart are all much better. If you want a beer selection in Santa Cruz go eat dinner at the Red on Cedar street. The have a very average ping pong table which was the only redeeming quality, but you have buy the balls out of a coin operated machine to play. You say to be constructive so I have given you some good suggestions of other places to go eat.

I had been living in Santa Cruz for a little half a year and had yet to find a really good pizza place to eat at. Then I found Engfer's. Thank god.

The pizza is amazingly good. Your choice of toppings or their own pre-designed pizzas. I really think you can't lose any way you go.

The atmosphere is very nice too. There's typically something fun on the radio and they have a great little back room with a ping pong table.

Oh, the beer selection is pretty solid too. They have a few Northcoast beers (Pranqster especially) and a few other local breweries. SC Mountain is there, Seabright, as well as some others from Northern CA.

Overall I'd highly recommend this establishment to anyone interested in pizza, atomsphere, and beer.

Engfer is a couple of doors down from Seabright Brewing. When you walk in you order to the right and the pizzas are made to the left.

The beer selllection is pretty darn good-on tap they have SNA, Pilsner Urquell, New Castle Brown Ale, Fat Tire,Santa Cruz Mountain IPA, Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout.

The weird thing about here is you go to the cold cases and pick out your beer-they have sixes and singles-then bring it up front to pay for it.

I noticed the following beers:
4 different New Belgium
3 Different Pyramid
3 Santa Cruz Mountain Bombers
3 Seabright Bombers
3 Anderson Valley beers

There is more but I had been at Seabright for happy hour-so I can't remember all of them

Plus some Lost Cost, SN, Redhook, and a few european brews.

The pizza is pretty good-no Fortell's (for you folks from STL)-but pretty good.

I noticed a middle aged couple drinking a couple of bottles of Maredous-right on!

The pizza is good-typical Santa Cruz selections-I.E Vegan and Vegetarian-with plenty of California toppings.

They open at 4pm most days but are closed Subday and Monday
