This place really does not deserve a spot in the database.
Maybe it was slightly better in the past, but the bottle selection was nonexistant (2 non-BMC beers, a Left Hand and Southampton IPA), and the taps consisted of local-ish beers (mostly Brooklyn) available at many other bars in the area. The one exception was Paulaner Hefeweizen (obviously also not exactly wowing), the keg of which must have been awfully old or mishandled because the beer was 100% flat and half stale. The service was minimal, not particularly friendly, and I was told that Leinenkugel's was a "brand new brewery on Long Island."
Again, the simplest thing to say is that, as currently run, this bar does not deserve to be in the database.

Went here last night with my friend who goes to Stony Brook University, he'd been here before but couldn't remember exactly where it was. The map-link above gives you an incorrect location, it actually is not on 25a, but if you head just west from there you'll come to another N. Country Rd. that runs north/south where you'll find it on the west side of the road. Located on a beautiful and historic street lined with 18th and 19th century homes, galleries, etc. The Thompson house across the street is a cool museum and period furnished home build in 1700. You can spot the bar by the neon beer signs in the window, otherwise it looks like another house on the street. The atmosphere in here is great! Cozy historic feel with tons of cool memorabilia and signs hanging everywhere, an awesome wood bar, good quality dart boards, and several awesome arcade games (including Big Buck Hunter!). The bartender Brian was very friendly, and kept filling our bowl with popcorn from their own popcorn machine. Tap selection is same as what plaid75 listed below but it seemed they switched Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout for Magic Hat #9. Limited but solid bottle selection included Stone IPA, Brooklyn Monster Ale, Original Sin, and others. The place was rather empty for a Saturday night but it is spring break week and many people are on holiday. Overall, a great little place that I will certainly be back to.

Located on North Country Road, just east of SUNY Stony Brook. The building is a converted 19th Century homestead that is located in a neighborhood of historic homes/museums and antique stores. I'd like to see the zoning application for this one.
Anyway, the interior is a quaint mishmash of breweriana, old surfboards, patio furniture and strings of lights. There are two dartboards and some video games as well. The centerpieces though are the wide plank floors and full roaring fireplace.
The tap list includes SNPA, Brooklyn Lager, Brooklyn Pilsner, Guinness, Smithwicks and Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout. The bottle list included Sunday River 420, Stone IPA, Brooklyn Brown and Jever.
