Single bottle from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo.

Poured into a nonic glass. Light honey-caramel in colour, with a terrific head of sturdy foam that leaves some fantastic snowy lace down the sides of the glass. Spectacular.

Nose is very nice, though not at all what I expected - resin, citrus and floral hops, a musky grain and mild caramel. The musk gives this brew a raw, natural smell that reminds me of fresh bread.

Tastes at first of resin, pine hops, before that musky grain creeps in, which is accompanied with honey, caramel, cracker, bread and citrus. Finish is short and not overly bitter - at 7.1%, this brew is remarkably smooth and damn-near chuggable with a mild body and easy carbonation. Fantastic stuff.

An example of the style that displays its one unique character, which sets it apart from its brothers. Very nice, easy drinking IPA that still packs a punch.

A - pours a very clear, light copper color with a 1 finger white head. light lacing, and head thins out shortly after pouring.

S - Citrus and fruity. Pleasant aroma, but surprising.

T - As the aroma suggested, citrusy. Additionally, has a candy-sweet flavor on the front end. Decent bitterness on the back-end that will sit around after swallowing.

M - Medium-light body. Standard and appropriate for an IPA.

O - Good beer. Nice use of citrusy hops with an interesting sweetness in the flavor.

A: into a stange glass, medium gold body with a fat finger of pale, dense head, flames of lace reached up from a persistent head

S: hoppy floral and herbal notes over a musky malt base

T: lots of pine hops up front, measured out against a sweeter, chewy malt base; bitter finish.

M: very luxurious and rich, with nice crisp hop bitterness and a slight tingle of carbonation

O: very well-made IPA that hits all the points: creamy smooth malt base, aromatis and bitter hops, good-looking, and great finish. Very drinkable.

Poured chilled in straight-edged ale glass

A: dark amber; smallish head dissipates quickly, and the carb action is a bit disappointing; bad batch? too cold?
S: aromatic and inviting; bubblegum
T: aggressively hopped IPA; complex; nice interplay of treble and bass notes; grassy; not very sweet

Very solid, excellent IPA
