Revisiting Titan. May your first be Titan. Freshness date is important for this IPA.

Looks - Pours into a .5 liter glass with authority. Long lasting dense head, great lacing.
Amber straw haze one expects in a great IPA
Smell - Apple, pine, hay, perfume, this is one to just nose for a while like a glass of wine, would be good in chalice.
Taste - the arc of bitter-sweet-ester-bitter-tickle is like a great companion. It's conversational kissing.
Mouth Feel - Ditto. slight sizzle and brightness along with enough density to know you're drinking a world class beer. Light (because of splendid carbonation) & heavy (weight) at the same time.

In the end, it's the give and take, the yin and yang that makes a great brew, Titan has it in a towering way. My favorite IPA.

Retried this on 8-28-13 and 2-28-17. Review stays the same. My 2nd favorite IPA after Sculpin.

Poured from tap into pint at Brazen Fox in White Plains, NY. Poured a cloudy murkey orangey color with about 2 fingers thick of white head. Very piney hop bitter aroma, with a big malt presence. Taste is very malty, followed by a lot of pine, with a hint of citrus. Its a bit over malted for me, and thick/heavy mouthfeel. Its just a bit on the intense overwhelming feel...almost unpleasant. Its a good IPA, but just a bit intense for me.

bottle into chalice

A - cloudy golden /orange, pours a medium head and leaves minimal lacing down glass

S - citrus, floral, bread

T - well balanced, most distinctive flavors are bread and citrus, nice hop profile as well.

M - smooth and rich (seems more rich than other IPAs), low-medium carbonation, medium bodied

O - real nice IPA. The citrus and bread dominant taste would not be my first choice, but Great Divide did a great job with this one
