Canned on 04/17/18
Enjoyed on 07/07/18
$12.99 per six pack at Wegmans
L. Dense black pour, inch tall dark tan head reduces slowly to a thick cap which stays and leaves a heavy lacing.
S. Cocoa, creamy coffee, dark roasted caramely chocolatey malt, more milk chocolatey as it comes closer to room temp.
T. Bitter cocoa, dark caramel, dark chocolate, distinct coffee flavor in there between the deeply roasted malts and the grassy/piney bitterness of the hops, caramel/chocolate finish balanced by the hoppy bitterness which increases in the aftertaste. Delicious.
F. Full mouthfeel, noticeable carbonation, only slightly warming, sticky/resinous in the end.
O. Full of flavor and balanced, I'm really enjoying it. I'd certainly have it again, especially considering it's price compared to other Russian Imperial Stouts of this quality. Cheers!

A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz, can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts, some chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, smoke, some hops, light alcohol and chocolate are present. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Dark as hell and twice as bitter. Smells good though.

Poured from 12oz bottle into Spiegelau Stout glass. Bottled on November 21st, 2017.

L: Completely opaque, two finger brown head has magnificent retention.

S: Rich malty aroma off the bat, filled with sherry like notes.

T: Sherry again over nice rich chocolate and a lingering coffee.

F: Suuuuper smooth, creamy.

O: Very good beer.

Not an expert. Very dark, even black, beer with dark cocoa colored head. Serious. Wonderful taste, not too bitter. Had it over a period of 3 days. Put a stopper in it overnight. Sometimes beer tastes better with less carbonation. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Smooth and tasty.
