An onslaught of the senses. It starts with big, roasty malt flavor that gives way to rich caramel and toffee notes. YETI gets its bold hop character from an enormous quantity of American hops.

Very dark and sharp stout, drinks like a strong ale.

Pours a dark black with a large dark brown head. Smells of chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee, but very faint smells. Tastes of French roast coffee, roasted malts, and bitter sweet chocolate. Heavy in body and medium carbonation. This is truly an incredibly imperial stout, one of my new favorites.

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a jet black color and it pours like motor oil. A thin tan quarter finger head dissipated practically immediately. Stringy lacing clings nicely around the glass. The smell took a light pine from the hops and allowed a nice gracing of roasted coffee and an ample amount of milk chocolate. The taste had a nice bitterness between the coffee bean and the piney hops. The milk chocolate balances to bring out a nice sweetness. A lingering sweet to roasty milk chocolate aftertaste starts and feeds into the finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium on the body with a great sipping quality to it. The carbonation sits good for the style and for me. Bitter piney and roastiness rolls over my palate in a sticky sort of glazing. Overall, definitely a good Double Stout that I would have again.

Second bottle I've cracked open. This is definitely a great stout. Pours nice and dark with a relatively darker mocha head. Definitely a little more whiskey on the nose *but it hasn't aged much.

Label suggests pairing with a nice steak, which I'd love to try. Hard to say anything bad about this. Hard to say anything good about this that hasn't been said. Maybe a touch more boozy than other stouts in the category, but I like a little kick to my bottles. Would definitely buy. But not horde. Solid B+ or A- beer.

Poured into a tulip glass- inky black brew with a darker tan head. The aroma is earthy with tobacco, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans. Taste is straight caramel espresso with a nice roasty twang, some leather and hop bitterness on the back end, and an extended finish. Mouthfeel is on the lower side of full-bodied, with an appropriate amount of carbonation. A great roasty stout, definitely a winner.

Look - Pours inky black with a few highlights, two fingers of foamy mocha colored head, great retention and lacing.
Aroma - Earthy, almost smells like damp soil, fresh roasted coffee, hint of smoke.
Taste - Hop oils up front, deep earthy and leafy character, big bitterness but it's balanced by malt sweetness. Malt is full bodied, sweet, creamy and heavily roasted. Equal parts coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The beer finishes with lingering roasted notes and hop oils. Long aftertaste that lasts until the next sip.
Feel - Medium-Full bodied, lower carbonation, very oily, smooth, tiny bit of alcohol warmth if you pay attention.

Overall - Aggressively hopped but still luxurious and easy to drink.
